Shu 'gyur is like a great lotus bursting open. One rdzang is the extent of a blister. Twenty rdzang is the bursting of a blister. Four hundred rdzang is so thams thams. Eighty thousand rdzang is called a chu. Six hundred thousand rdzang is called kyi hud. That is sixty-two million rdzang, like an উৎপল (utpala) flower bursting open. Six billion four hundred million rdzang is like a lotus bursting open. One hundred and twenty-eight billion rdzang is like a great lotus bursting open, thus it is counted. The lifespan of the hot hells is also the same as this, in order to generate revulsion towards the cold hells, therefore it is explained to the trainees with such metaphors, others say. Because tiny pimples spread over the body without gaps, it is the bursting of blisters. Because tiny pimples grow with gaps, it is blister-like. Blister-like and so on, arising in time, number, and the various states of the body, are two, three, and three in order. Blister-like and bursting blisters, greatly renowned due to the difference in time and number, that which has a lifespan of a hundred thousand kotis of years, that is blister-like. Those which have ten kotis, that is the bursting of blisters. From those one hundred thousand bursting blisters, up to the number of kotis, if one engages in sins condemned by the noble ones, one will go to this hell, it should be combined thus. "Blister-like in a koti" means that until that time, the sentient being exists like a great lotus bursting open, because for a very long time, until that time, kokalika exists, therefore that itself is the distinction. "Which" means hell. "Condemned by the noble ones" means by the holy ones. "Will go" means to enter. Having done what does one go? It is said, "speech and mind," meaning sinful speech and a sinful mind. "Engaging" means entering. Engaging in condemnation, one will go to hell, and one will remain there for this long, this is the condensed meaning. In order to turn back those who commit evil with speech and do not understand the undesirable results, by showing those results, these were spoken.

I said. To show that the noble ones are not changed even if they speak evil words because they are not true, it is said, "With a sinful mind," and so on. The two monks, Friend and Earth-born, and the venerable Gyadbu Nor, had been enemies for lifetimes, so they spoke evil words, such as, "Gyadbu Nor, we saw you engaging in impure conduct with the bhikkhuni উৎপala-colored," and so on. Therefore, in response to this, it was said, "With a sinful mind, falsely accusing others of faults." To be without fault is to be untrue. To speak of faults is to reproach with evil words. With what? "With a sinful mind," that is, with a mind of affliction. Those noble ones who are free from the faults of the mind and have abandoned faults should not be spoken of with faults. What happens when faults are spoken? "For the sake of destroying oneself, one increases the suffering of hell," it is said. For the sake of destroying oneself, one is thrown into the path of hell, receiving the ripening fruit and experiencing extremely unbearable feelings. Those who cling to the taste of the object of the nature of the seen dharma, and see, the great stream of future suffering is not like that. Those wise ones do not change even if others harm them, why? For example, "Powerful and innocent" refers to the power of individual examination. To be able to endure is to have no inability to endure. For that, it is even if one hears those faults. "How is this to be known?" It is said, "The mind is not disturbed." That is, the mind is not disturbed. The reason is to follow the tenets of the noble ones, because one has protected the tenets of the noble ones, so there is no disturbance. As it is said, "Even if the noble ones are bound, the mind does not want to be disturbed, it is not disturbed even for the sake of life, therefore the wise do not crave." It is said like this. Some say, "The mind also strives not to be disturbed," meaning that the noble ones never do anything related to disturbance. Noble and noble
