Content with what is, seeing negligence as fearful, because of being close to nirvana, it is impossible to be completely changed. Endowed with diligence and mindfulness, practicing the Dharma well, in this world and the next, practicing the Dharma brings happiness. Relying on the training for peace, generate effort and diligence. Forgetfulness and negligence, small diligence and lack of guarding the senses, sleep and laziness and distraction, these are obstacles to learning, you should understand these limbs, do not let mindfulness be wasted. A monk with good discipline, delighting in mindfulness, should pacify all conceptualizations well, and thus guard his own mind. One should initiate and strive, enter the Buddha's teachings, like an elephant destroying a reed house, one should destroy the army of the Lord of Death. Whoever practices diligently in this Dharma and discipline, having completely abandoned the cycle of rebirth, will ultimately cease suffering. The fourth chapter on mindfulness. From beloved things sorrow is born, from beloved things fear is born, if beloved things are completely abandoned, there is no sorrow and no fear. From a beloved child sorrow is born, from love suffering is born, from love fear is born, if a beloved child becomes different, one will obtain a depressing change. The various sufferings of the world, and the wailing and lamenting, these all arise dependent on beloved things, if beloved things are abandoned, these will not exist. Because nowhere in the world are there beloved things, those are happiness and without sorrow. Therefore, seeking the meaning of being without grief and free from defilement, one should never cling to beloved things. Not seeing beloved things causes suffering, seeing unloved things is also the same, so never encounter beloved things, nor encounter unloved things. Due to separation from beloved things, and encountering unloved things, from this, unbearable sorrow that makes people age will arise. When beloved things die, many relatives and friends, for a long time are in sorrow and suffering, becoming painful due to separation from beloved things. For whom there is no beloved and unloved, for him there is no bondage, therefore, do not cling to beloved things for the wicked. Observing beloved things, the meaning

Having abandoned, not indulging in the practice of happiness, may those who possess the practice of unhappiness themselves aspire to meaningful practices of happiness. Those bound by the pleasure of beauty, in the respective realms of gods and humans, create sins and completely decline, becoming subject to aging and death. Whoever, day and night, diligently abandons the attraction of beauty, can completely uproot even the difficult-to-abandon food of demons and the root of sin. By treating non-virtue as virtue, by treating ugliness as beauty, and by treating suffering as happiness, one utterly destroys the heedless. If one loves oneself, happiness obtained through wrongdoing is not easily attained, so do not indulge in sin. If one loves oneself, happiness obtained through virtuous deeds can be easily attained, so do not indulge in sin. Just as a city of monasteries is surrounded by a strong moat, if one loves oneself, one should guard it well. If one loves oneself, at any of the three times, the wise should carefully conceal it with meticulous actions. Just as a city of monasteries is guarded both inside and out, do not waste leisure, thus guard oneself. Even if beings are born in hell, they will regret wasting their leisure. Though the mind searches in all directions, nothing more hateful than oneself is seen. Thus, each person finds themselves hateful to others as well, therefore, those who love themselves should not harm others. For all beings, life is precious, all fear death, measure from your own feelings, do not strike or kill. People driven far away, returning unharmed from afar, relatives, friends, and loved ones meet and rejoice. Similarly, people who have done good deeds, from this world to the next, when they go to the next world, good deeds like relatives will come and make them rejoice. Therefore, for the sake of the next world, accumulate merit. Merit in the next world will become the refuge of sentient beings. Whoever practices well, the gods are filled with joy. In this life, one is not blamed, and in the next, one obtains joy. Dharma.
