Moreover, one does not universally associate with a white bull, nor is a white bull associated with a black bull, as is widely proclaimed. Universal association means bondage, and which universal associations are bondages? Those are indeed bondages, yet because they are primary. The Tathagata said in the sutra: "Desire is bondage, hatred is bondage, ignorance is bondage," thus speaking of three bondages, whose characteristics have already been explained. There are seven latent predispositions (anusaya): attachment to desire, anger, attachment to existence, pride, ignorance, views, and doubt. The characteristics of these have already been explained in the context of contemplating universal associations. The distinctions of realms, modes, and types should be differentiated. Among these, attachment to desire in the realm of desire is attachment to desire. Since it itself is a latent predisposition, it is the latent predisposition of attachment to desire in the realm of desire. Among these, the attachment to desire belonging to the desire realm, which is abandoned by seeing suffering, origin, cessation, and path, and by cultivation, is the latent predisposition of attachment to desire in the realm of desire. The five angers abandoned by seeing suffering, etc., and by cultivation, are the latent predisposition of anger. The ten attachments to desire in the form and formless realms, which are abandoned by seeing suffering, etc., and by cultivation, are the latent predisposition of attachment to existence. In order to dispel the inverted perception of considering meditative states and the formless realms, which have been internally observed, as liberation, the Sugata proclaimed that attachment arises from the two realms. Similarly, the fifteen prides of the three realms, which are abandoned by seeing suffering, etc., and by cultivation, are the latent predisposition of pride. The latent predisposition of ignorance should also be understood in the same way. The thirty-six views of the three realms are the latent predisposition of views, among which, the view of the aggregates as a self (satkayadristi) belonging to the desire realm, the view of extremes (antagrahadristi), the wrong view (mithyadristi) abandoned by seeing suffering, the holding of views as supreme (dristiparamarsa), the holding of ethics and vows as supreme (silavrataparamarsa), the wrong view abandoned by seeing the origin, the holding of views as supreme, the wrong view abandoned by seeing cessation, and the holding of views as supreme, and...

Attachment, and the wrong views to be abandoned by seeing the path, and holding views as supreme, and holding morality and asceticism as supreme, these are the twelve views. Form and formlessness are also the same, these thirty-six views are the subtle differences of views. The twelve doubts of realms are, the subtle differences of doubts, among which the four to be abandoned by seeing suffering etc. belonging to the desire realm, and similarly the form realm and the formless realm are also. The subtle differences of desire and anger in the desire realm are different in nature, neither realm nor manner. In the subtle differences of existence attachment, it is not realm and aspect, but manner. The subtle differences of pride, ignorance and doubt are also not realm and aspect, but manner. The subtle differences of views are different due to the differences of realm, aspect and manner. Among them, the differences of realm and aspect of views have been explained. The difference of manner has not been explained, now it will be explained. Among them, entering in the manner of self and what belongs to self is the view of the perishable collection. Entering in the manner of annihilation and permanence is the view of holding to extremes. Seeing in the manner of non-existence is wrong view. Entering in the manner of supreme is view attachment. Entering in the manner of purity is moral discipline and asceticism attachment. Subtle difference, the meaning is the meaning of subtle. Or it is following the continuum of body and mind, like flowing in water, the shadow flowing in the sky follows, so it is a subtle difference. Or it is following and entering, like sesame seeds entering sesame oil, so it is a subtle difference. Or, taking the five aggregates of grasping as objects, it increases with both being complete, so it is a subtle difference. Why does it increase? If asked, it is observed with both being complete, this is a synonym. Thus, these seven subtle differences, different due to the differences of realm and manner and aspect, will become eighty-eight kinds, in the desire realm, there are ten kinds to be abandoned by seeing suffering, namely the view of the perishable collection, the view of holding to extremes, wrong view, view attachment, moral discipline and asceticism attachment, doubt.

The mother and desire, anger, pride, and ignorance. There are seven things to be abandoned by seeing the origin, among which are those other than the view of the perishable aggregate, the view of holding to extremes, and the view of holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme. There are seven things to be abandoned by seeing cessation, namely those themselves. There are eight things to be abandoned by seeing the path, namely those seven and the view of holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme. There are four things to be abandoned by meditation, namely the views and doubt excepted. Thus, those are the thirty-six subtle defilements belonging to the desire realm. In the form realms, there are those themselves except for the five angers. It is the same in the formless realms, and those are ninety-eight. Among them, if those are combined into one, eighty-eight are to be abandoned by seeing. Ten are to be abandoned by meditation. In each realm, the views to be abandoned by seeing suffering and the cause, doubt, and nine, and the ignorance associated with them, and the non-associated ignorance, those are called pervasive. The remainder are called non-pervasive. Similarly, the wrong views to be abandoned by seeing cessation and the path, doubt, and the ignorance associated with them, and the non-associated ignorance, those are focused on the unpolluted, focused on cessation and the path, and those two are also unpolluted. The remainder are focused on the polluted. Among them, those that are focused on the polluted will increase with both the focus and the associated. Those that are focused on the unpolluted are the associated, namely their own aggregates. Similarly, in each realm, the wrong views to be abandoned by seeing the cessation, doubt, and the ignorance associated with them, and ignorance alone, those are focused on the unconditioned. The remainder are focused on the conditioned. The order in which they arise is that, in the very beginning, beings are deluded about the truths because they are associated with ignorance, so they do not desire from suffering to the path. When those fools hear about the two aspects of right and wrong, they think, "Is this suffering?" or they think, "This is not suffering," and so on.
