The aggregate of formations according to the Radana school has been explained. If one has abandoned the eighty-eight subtle latent tendencies and has entered the stream, how is it that the Blessed One taught the abandonment of the three fetters? There is no fault in this. This teaches the afflictions of one gate, two gates, and four gates, in order to show them approximately. Or, it is for the sake of the root, that which arises from the cause of the view of the aggregates of destruction is like holding to the extreme. That which arises from the cause of holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme is the holding to views as supreme. That which arises from the cause of doubt is wrong view. Or, those themselves are great obstacles to liberation. The Blessed One also said that, for this, one will not want to go because of the view of the aggregates of destruction, because it is destroyed by obstacles. Holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme is because one sees the path of the Samkhyas and others, hoping to be purified by it, therefore the path is mistaken. By doubt, one will be indecisive. For example, a person who sets out on a path has three obstacles: laziness, getting lost, and indecisiveness. Likewise, it should be understood here as well, so it is said. What are the five that are in accordance with the higher part? They exist in the continuum of the non-returner, namely, desire for form, desire for the formless, excitement, pride, and ignorance. Now comes the section on those who do not possess them. Those also include attainment and so forth, which are all derived from the treatises. "Possessing this dharma," this refers to those that are both dharma and this, so it is this dharma. This word "this," as the name of all things, shows its complete accomplishment and the nature of being the cause. For what? For that which it definitely states. Determining the statement is the statement that is determined, because it will be stated by this, so it is a statement. Whatever statement arises is because it can be obtained, which is explained in the commentary. Saying "here" refers to being in samsara. The term "non-devouring ghost" has no three errors, that is to say, the term "non-devouring ghost" is close to "definite." If one asks in what way these three are definite, it is in the category of sentient beings.

Also for these. Cessation through individual examination and cessation not through individual examination are also counted as sentient beings. For example, the abandonment of afflictions of sentient beings is cessation through individual examination. The absence of immediate causes is cessation not through individual examination. Therefore, those related to one's own continuum, and the attainment and non-attainment of cessation through individual examination and cessation not through individual examination. For objects that are not counted as space and sentient beings, it is asserted that neither exists. Among them, virtue refers to faith, etc., and mentioning "etc." indicates diligence, etc. Non-virtue refers to desire, etc., and mentioning "etc." indicates hatred and ignorance, etc. Indeterminate refers to emanation mind, etc., and mentioning "etc." indicates arising from maturation, etc. The word "these" connects with what was previously stated. "Which" is connected with persons, because virtue is mentioned, it is because of being released from the outflows. Those are the persons. To be endowed with this dharma is synonymous with having qualities such as faith. Their essence is to have the nature of dharma itself. What is the causal dharma that is necessarily declared as being endowed with this dharma? That is attainment, and it can also be said to have acquisition. For the first moment, it is attainment, acquisition, and obtaining. For the second moment and subsequent moments, it is having and obtaining. Therefore, according to the Vaibhashikas, whatever is possessed is also attained. There is also that which is only attained but not possessed, that is, the initial attainer. If it ceases to exist, then the word "it" is connected with attainment. If there is no attainment, it will be like having no seed. The noble ones who are completely entangled by desire, etc., are those noble persons who have not separated from desire. Completely entangled means that desire, etc., are manifest. The absence of undefiled mind means that if afflictions are manifest, then undefiled mind will not be manifest, because they are mutually contradictory.
