The so-called inner contemplation refers to the attachment of the desire realm, which mostly manifests in external objects, so it is an external contemplation. The samadhi of the form and formless realms is the object, so it is called inner contemplation. Regarding the two views of the aggregation of destruction and the clinging to extremes, there is no mention of seeing suffering, because other views of truth are not to be abandoned. The so-called to prevent the thought of liberation, refers to abandoning the thought of liberation, the attachment born from the two realms is called existence attachment. The so-called different in kind, refers to because seeing suffering etc. is to be abandoned, so it is in kind. The so-called realm and kind, refers to the realm of form and formless realms being different. The so-called not in the way, refers to the fact that attachment is the same in the way of attachment. What is the meaning of subtle increase? If it is the subtle meaning, then for feelings etc. it will also become liberation. There is no fault in this, because there is existence and delusion, so it is the difference and the basis of difference. Those also do have the manifestation of being great in fruit, for example, when a person becomes greedy, the eyes become fierce, the tone of voice becomes hoarse, when a person becomes angry, the eyes become dull, the sound becomes loud, and so on. Thus, the noble Ananda also said: "Venerable ones, I do not remember ever having had a thought of desire arise before, from the time I renounced the world until more than twenty years had passed." Thus, for sentient beings with thoughts of desire, there are also cases of being combined with hatred. Similarly, by combining with one, one must also combine with all six afflictions. The hatred that punishes false desire is also the same. In this way, one must also combine with all six afflictions. Therefore, the subtle meaning is spoken of. Or, the so-called following the continuum of body and mind, refers to what arises in the continuum of the body is the prevention of other senses. Following the continuum of mind is, for example, being more greedy. Hatred transforms the body. The continuum of mind is, for example, being more hateful. That is what the Bhagavan

It is said to be the obscuration of affliction. Like swimming in water and chasing after the shadow of what moves in the sky, the term "latent" illustrates that meaning with an example. Moving in the sky means birds that move in the sky. Just as they are attached to food, swim in the water, and chase after shadows, thinking that they can eat it as soon as it falls, and always follow it, so are these latencies. In beginningless samsara, they continuously pursue what is found, which means not abandoning it. Because they pervade the minds of sentient beings, they exist like sesame oil in sesame seeds, therefore they are latent. Regarding the point of "having two objects and possessing two," the objects of latencies are objects such as women. Possessing two means arising together with which mind. Regarding the point that "there are ten that are abandoned by seeing suffering in the desire realm," the view of the aggregates and the view of holding to extremes are abandoned by seeing suffering, because they wrongly believe that suffering itself is the self. Because they hold to the aspects of annihilation and permanence for the suffering that others consider to be the self. Holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme is abandoned by seeing suffering and abandoned by seeing the path. If it is thought that holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme is explained as seeing what is not a cause as a cause, then why is it not abandoned by seeing the origin? Here it is said that whatever is manifestly clung to as a cause arises from holding self and person, etc., as permanent and as self. And holding self and so forth as permanent and as self is precisely what is abandoned by seeing suffering. Therefore, manifestly clinging to what is made by it as a cause will also be abandoned by it. Therefore, it is not abandoned by seeing another truth. Because of wrongly understanding the path, it is abandoned by seeing the path. Regarding "there are four to be abandoned by meditation," from the ten that are said to be abandoned by seeing suffering, if the various views and doubts are shown, they become four. Eighty-eight are abandoned by seeing, which means abandoned by the path of seeing. Ten are abandoned by meditation.
