Do not become an intermediate state! Thinking that it will not arise, this is said to be the most excellent among the views held by outsiders. The two extremes are the extremes of annihilation and permanence. Saying there is no karma is to slander the truth of the origin. Saying there is no result of karma is to slander the truth of suffering. Saying there is no liberation is to slander the truth of cessation. Saying there is no path to attain it is to slander the truth of the path. Saying that things exist, but are truly diminished, this refers to the four truths that truly exist, saying that things exist truly, but slandering it, diminishing true existence. These five views are all wrong views, but this is to slander the existence of true things. The others are exaggerations. Therefore, this is called a wrong view, because it has deeply entered the wrong path, like a Chandalas sinner. Among them, the views such as the view of the aggregates are not supreme in the ultimate sense, because they are tainted. Tainted is an evil thing, because it should be abandoned. The five aggregates of grasping are the place of views. Holding views as supreme is because the word "etc." is omitted, and it should be regarded as including holding views etc. Therefore, it is said that holding as supreme those views that are not supreme and the five aggregates that are not supreme. How are these not supreme? Because they are abandoned by the noble ones. Why should they be abandoned? Because there are three kinds of suffering. What is the difference of wisdom? It is the difference of wisdom, that is, holding views as supreme. Thinking refers to examination. Discipline is the cause. Asceticism is the path. Therefore, seeing what is not the cause as the cause, and seeing what is not the path as the path, this is holding discipline and asceticism as supreme. For example, Ishvara and Purusha, as well as Pradhana and time, etc., those that are not the cause of samsara are also regarded as the cause, this is seeing what is not the cause as the cause. The path

There are two types: apparent superiority and definite goodness. Among them, entering fire and water, etc., are not paths to higher realms, but they are seen as paths, merely involving discipline and asceticism. Understanding through the distinction between nature and person, etc., are not causes of liberation, but they are seen as paths, thus viewing non-paths as paths. Holding discipline and asceticism as supreme is like Brahmins with rituals desiring purity. For example, Brahmins performing rituals, desiring purity, etc., think they are pure with a nature that is not pure. It should be understood that this dharma is similar to that. Combining the three views through the distinction between what is grasped and what grasps, it is called the all-pervasive application of views. The other two that are held as supreme are called the all-pervasive application of holding as supreme. Among them, what is grasped are the three views. What grasps are the two holdings as supreme: one is holding as supreme, and the other is holding as pure. If these three kinds of results are abandoned, then one will definitely be able to realize well. Without wisdom, there is no liberation. As it is said in the sutra: Bhikshus, thus, the mind is like lightning, samadhi is like a vajra, and wisdom destroys the afflictions. Suffering, origin, cessation, and path are called the truths. The word "all" should be connected with each word individually. Doubting is because two kinds of intelligence arise, so one doubts. Regarding "the truths," this refers to being on the object of truth, not on other objects. Therefore, doubting whether a tree stump is a person, etc., is called hesitation. Healing the disease of afflictions is wisdom itself. What is called healing refers to its opposing factor, which is doubt. The crossroads are different from rocks and grass. For example, a person who goes to a rock at a crossroads will think, should I go this way, or should I go that way? Just like that hesitation, doubt should also be understood in the same way. Grass does not grow far away, but is seen in the darkness, this is doubt. What is called inner turmoil is shown as a different dharma from anger. Thinking of not giving to others, etc., is certain.
