The phrase "opposite to both" indicates this. Simpa is happiness. Gedungwa is suffering. Opposite to both is equanimity. "Existence conditioned by feeling" refers to manifest attachment arising from the cause of feeling, which is a synonym for attachment. Furthermore, the statement "there are six kinds due to the distinction of consciousness" is because it possesses all consciousness. The distinction of consciousness is that, although the nature of the continuum of consciousness is one, it becomes six kinds due to the distinction of location and object. "Born from the contact arising from the combination of the eye" means that the contact that arises from the combination of the eye, object, and consciousness, and what is born from that contact, is born from the contact arising from the combination of the eye. "Born together with the five consciousnesses" means arising together with the five consciousnesses, which is of the body. If all feelings are of the mind, why is it said to be of the body? Answer: Because it abides in the body, it is said to be of the body. The body is accumulation, it is assembly. It generally encompasses the eye, etc. "The other is of the mind" means arising together with the five consciousnesses of the mind. Among them, "bodily simpa" is happiness. That is also born together with the five aggregates of consciousness in the desire realm, and in the first dhyana, it is born together with the eye, ear, and body consciousnesses. In the three dhyanas, it is the nature of the mind. "Non-bodily simpa" is in the desire realm itself. "Except for the third dhyana" refers to the first dhyana, the second dhyana, and the desire realm. Conversely, "is the faculty of displeasure," since it is said that "simpa is the faculty of pleasure," then conversely, whatever is not mental simpa is the faculty of displeasure. That is also in the desire realm itself. "Bodily" refers to the five consciousnesses being called bodily. "Mental" refers to the mind, which is the faculty of equanimity. That is the third realm. Therefore, in order to be extremely peaceful and completely without aversion, it is shown that the mental pleasure arising from the third dhyana is happiness. It makes one distracted, and also

To be completely disgusted, the mind born from the three realms is the freedom of happiness. The feeling of bodily pleasure is because the conceptualizations of thinking and recollection are swallowed up. Feeling has been discussed. That which is called knowing the expression of characteristics, names, and meanings, among them, characteristics, direct perception, and nature are synonymous. Name is perception. Meaning is the twelve sources. Expression is the place of collection. Comprehensive knowledge is perception. In order to indicate its object, blue, yellow, long, and short are spoken, and those who are in accordance with eye consciousness point to the objects of color and shape. The conch shell refers to the object of sound. The fragrance of the lotus refers to the object of smell. Snow and salt refer to the object of taste. Soft and rough refer to the object of touch. Women and men, etc., refer to the object of mind consciousness. The cause of conceptualization refers to the author of conceptualization. All consciousnesses have perception, and its object is the general characteristic. So, in the Dhammapada, those who are in accordance with eye consciousness know blue, but not "is blue." Those who are in accordance with mind consciousness know blue, and also know "is blue," how is this? The five consciousnesses do not have dualistic conceptualization, because it is not obvious, so it is said like that. There are three aspects: small is directed towards fine dust, etc. Large is directed towards Mount Sumeru, etc. By saying "etc.," the ocean, etc., is indicated. Immeasurable is directed towards the sphere of infinite space, etc. By saying "etc.," the sphere of infinite consciousness, etc., is indicated. Perception has been discussed. Among them, place, object, aspect, time, and substance are the same, and the mind is in accordance with the five similarities, etc. The word "same" is connected separately, from the same place to the same substance. Among them, the same place is like this: the place of eye consciousness and feeling, etc.
