That is because it will not increase. Furthermore, from the ground other than the peak of existence, both mundane and supramundane can be free from attachment. Regarding this, there are also: The mundane ones are free from attachment, the noble ones have two kinds of attainment of freedom from attachment. When a noble one becomes free from attachment through the mundane path, two kinds of attainment of freedom from attachment arise: the mundane and the supramundane. Some say that even with the supramundane, because it has been abandoned, it does not possess afflictions. If the attainment of freedom from attachment is obtained through the noble path, and the mundane attainment of freedom from attachment does not arise, then if one becomes free from attachment from the sphere of nothingness through the noble path, relying on meditation and transferring the faculties, because the previous path has been abandoned and only the fruition path has been attained, it will also become non-existent with the freedom from attachment of the afflictions of the higher ground, and if it is abandoned, it will also become possessed of those afflictions. Liberation from half of the peak of existence, and the four born above do not possess. Even if the mundane attainment of freedom from attachment no longer exists, it will not become possessed of those afflictions. For example, for one liberated from half of the peak of existence, there is no mundane attainment of freedom from attachment, and by transferring the faculties, even for the supramundane, even if it is abandoned, it will not become possessed of those afflictions. Also, for example, for an ordinary being born up to the first dhyana, if one wants to (obtain) the attainment of freedom from attachment from the afflictions of the desire realm, abandoning it will not become possessed of those afflictions, so this is not to be understood. From what does which ground become free from attachment? The uncontaminated, invincible, is free from attachment from everything, up to the peak of existence. Furthermore, who relies on proximity and obtains freedom from attachment from the lower ground? Do all of these paths of liberation arise from proximity like the uninterrupted path? Answer: No. Then what is it like? The conqueror of the three grounds, with meditation, or proximity, arises the final path of liberation. For freedom from attachment from the desire realm and the two dhyanas, the final path of liberation arises from proximity or actual dhyana.

Indeed. It is not proximity to the higher realms. Those who surpass the three realms and above share the power of equanimity, so it arises only from the main practice, not from proximity to birth. It is said: "The stainless, invincible one is free from desire for all." As it is said, others are not mentioned, therefore the noble ones, the eight, overcome their own higher realms. It is said that the stainless meditative concentration, the distinguished meditative concentration, and the three formless realms, the eight, become free from desire from their own realm and the higher realms. It is not from the lower realms, because they have already become free from desire. Therefore, the uninterrupted paths and the paths of liberation that are beyond the world are those that have entered into the aspect of truth because they focus on truth. It is established that they are of the nature of entering into truth. The liberation of the world, the order of the uninterrupted path, the aspects of peace and roughness, the objects of the higher and lower realms. The paths of liberation are seen as peaceful, wonderful, and arising in the higher realms as appropriate. The uninterrupted paths are the opposite of the aspects of peace and so on, and are seen as relying on the lower realms, and as foul-smelling, like a dense wall. What came along the way is finished. Furthermore, what arises after the knowledge of cessation? If from the knowledge of cessation of immovability, the wisdom of non-arising arises. If an Arhat is of the nature of immovability, then immediately after the knowledge of cessation, the knowledge of non-arising arises. If not, either the knowledge of cessation or the view of the non-learner arises from the knowledge of cessation. Because there is a possibility of complete degeneration, it is not the knowledge of non-arising. Is it only the knowledge of non-arising for those who are of the nature of immovability? Even for all Arhats, for those who are of the nature of immovability, sometimes only the knowledge of non-arising arises from the knowledge of non-arising, and sometimes the correct view of the non-learner arises. What are the four fruits that are taught? They are the fruits of the life of a renunciate. What is this called the life of a renunciate? The life of a renunciate is the immaculate path. The life of a renunciate is leakage.
