It is not an object of the higher realms. Those that focus on the unpolluted and those that focus on the higher grounds will not increase through the means of focusing. Why? Because the objects of those focuses are antidotes that are not grasped as self. Whatever object is grasped as self by the view of self and desire, other subtle increases can also increase, but it is not so for the unpolluted, and it is not so for the higher grounds. Nirvana and the path are the antidotes to those objects, and the higher grounds are also the antidotes to the lower grounds, so they will not remain in those either. How it increases through the means of focusing has already been explained. Whatever is associated with what, that is only associated with it. Which subtle increases increase in association with which dharmas? Among those, which are unwholesome? Which are unspecified? All of the above are unspecified. All actions in the form and formless realms are only unspecified. In the desire realm, the view of the aggregates of decay and, the view of clinging to extremes together with ignorance, are unspecified. The remaining ones here are unwholesome. The remaining ones, which are the desire realm, are unwholesome. Which are the roots of unwholesomeness? Which are not? In the desire realm, desire, anger, and, delusion are the roots of unwholesomeness. Except for the delusion associated with the view of the aggregates of decay and, the view of clinging to extremes, delusion and, desire and hatred associated with it are the three roots of unwholesomeness. The three roots of the unspecified, that is craving and, ignorance, wisdom, even those born from maturation, whatever little of those are all roots of the unspecified. Since both ultimately lead to this, it is not other than that. Doubt is not suitable to be a root because it leads to two situations, because it is uncertain. Pride is not a root because it elevates with the characteristic of arrogance, because the dharmas are inconsistent. The roots in the world are
