It is the fourth. Regarding this, the non-virtuous, the form realm, and the desire realm, the virtuous deeds themselves are, in order, black, white, and both. That which exhausts them is the uncontaminated karma. Non-virtuous karma is purely black, and because it is unpleasant, the result is also black. Virtuous karma belonging to the form realm is purely white because it is not mixed with non-virtuous karma, and because it is pleasant, the result is white. Virtuous karma belonging to the desire realm is black and white because it is mixed with non-virtuous karma, and because the result is mixed, the result is also black and white. This is classified from the perspective of the continuum, not from the perspective of its own nature. Uncontaminated karma exhausts these three types of karma. Because it is not afflicted, it is not black. Because there is no white result, it is not white. Because it contradicts entering into any realm, it has no result. Not all uncontaminated karma exhausts all three of these karmas; however, the forbearance of dharma, the desire to be free from attachment, whichever of the eight paths of immediate release, the twelve types of thoughts, are the karma that exhausts black karma. The four types of forbearance of knowledge of dharma on the path of seeing, and whichever of the eight thoughts of the path of immediate release from attachment to the desire realm, these twelve types of thoughts are the karma that exhausts black karma. Which is the ninth thought? That is the one that exhausts black and white karma. Which is the ninth thought of the path of immediate release from attachment to the desire realm? That is the one that abandons the black and white karma, as well as the ninth aspect of neither black nor white. White, from meditation, free from attachment, the last arising thought of the path of immediate release, meditation and the last ninth thought of the path of immediate release from attachment to meditation, this thought is the one that abandons white karma. Others are the two types of experiencing the suffering of hell and experiencing the suffering of other desire realms. Experiencing the suffering of hell and experiencing the suffering of the desire realm other than hell are, in order, black karma and black and white karma. Others are the black karma to be abandoned by the path of seeing, because it is not mixed with virtuous karma. Other white karma born from the desire realm

That. Black and white in the desire realm are abandoned through cultivation. In the sutra, it is said that "there are three that can overcome," among which, the body, speech, and mind of the non-learner, the three that can overcome are in that order. The actions of body and speech of the non-learner are the actions of body and speech that can overcome. Only the mind of the non-learner is the mind that can overcome, not the action of the mind. Why? Because overcoming also means abandoning, therefore the mind itself abandoning is called overcoming. The three purifications mentioned are: all three good deeds are the three types of purification. All good deeds of the body are the purification of the body. Similarly, the actions of speech and mind are also pure, because they temporarily and permanently abandon the defilements of afflictions from bad deeds of the body. The three misdeeds mentioned are: body and so on are non-virtuous, considered as three misdeeds. Non-virtuous actions of body, speech, and mind are misdeeds of body, speech, and mind. Although covetousness and so on are not actions, there are three misdeeds of the mind. Although it is not the nature of action, there are three misdeeds of the mind, namely covetousness, harmful intent, and wrong view. The opposite is good conduct. The opposite of misdeeds should be understood as good conduct. What are the misdeeds and good deeds that are mentioned? From these, briefly summarized, good and non-good are classified accordingly, and the path of action is said to be ten types. Good comes from good conduct, and non-good comes from misdeeds. What misdeeds and what good deeds are not summarized here? For the time being, from the non-good, the means, ultimate, and affliction-related beatings of the body's misdeeds, and the aspects of the mind's misdeeds are not summarized. On the good side, the means, ultimate, and abandoning of things that cause intoxication, as well as giving, offerings, etc., are not summarized for good deeds of the body, and pleasant speech etc. are not summarized for misdeeds of speech, and thoughts are not summarized for good deeds of the mind. Among these paths of action, the six non-virtues are name and thought.
