etc., are not present, but are generated by what is to be abandoned through meditation. What is obscured and not declared is also not present in the desire realm. Furthermore, should one understand the virtues of the dharmas, etc., solely from the power of arising? I say, it is not so. However, there are four aspects: ultimate truth, essence, association, and arising. Among these, liberation is virtuous in the ultimate sense. Nirvana is the cessation of all suffering, and therefore, for the sake of supreme bliss, it is virtuous in the ultimate sense, like being without illness. The root is: With self-respect and conscientiousness, are the three roots of virtue, self-respect and conscientiousness are virtues by their very nature, because they do not depend on other associations and arising, like beneficial medicine. Those associated with them, by association, the roots of virtue, self-respect and conscientiousness, the dharmas that are associated with them are associated virtues, like a beverage mixed with medicine. By actions, etc., arising, the dharmas associated with the roots of virtue, etc., only the actions of body and speech arising from them, and those not grasped by the mind, become virtuous by arising, like milk produced from a beverage mixed with medicine. From the opposite of the virtue as described above is non-virtue. Samsara is the source of all suffering, and because it is the nature of extreme unhappiness, it is non-virtuous in the ultimate sense. The roots of non-virtue, shamelessness and lack of conscientiousness, are by their very nature. The dharmas associated with them are associated. The actions of body and speech arising from them, and birth, etc., and attainment, come from arising, such as illness and unsuitable medicine, etc. If that is the case, then because it belongs to the category of samsara, would even a little of the contaminated dharma not be declared, or would it not become virtuous? From the ultimate truth, it is said that way, but if it is a contaminated dharma, declared for the sake of ripening, that is called declared, and the result of ripening is satisfactory, that is virtue. If declared from the ultimate truth

After that. (Regarding) the examination of what is not truly predicted. (Regarding) uncompounded space, and cessation through individual non-examination, it is unpredicted without categories. Regarding what is said, "The mind to be abandoned by seeing is not a pervasive arousal," then, why did the Bhagavan say that from wrong views arise wrong discriminations, wrong speech, and wrong actions, etc.? This is not contradictory. As follows: There are two kinds of arousal, namely cause and the arousal of that time. There are two kinds of pervasive arousal, namely the pervasive arousal of cause and the pervasive arousal of that time, because at that time there is only that. Of the two, the former causes entry, the latter causes following. The pervasive arousal of cause is the projector, therefore it causes entry. The pervasive arousal of that time is in accordance with entry at the time of action, therefore it causes following. Among them, the consciousness to be abandoned by seeing causes entry. The mind to be abandoned by seeing is the pervasive arousal of that, it is the basis for discriminations and deliberations, therefore it causes entry, but the mind is looking outward, therefore it does not cause following. Therefore, the sutra speaks in terms of the pervasive arousal of cause, so there is no contradiction. Mind is both to be abandoned by meditation. The consciousness of mind is both to be abandoned by meditation, namely causing entry and causing following. The five are only causing following. The five aggregates of consciousness are only causing following. Also, how is causing entry, is causing following also the same as that? This is not certain. The good, etc., of causing entry, causing following also transforms into three. The good of causing entry, causing following can also transform into good, non-good, and neutral, and the same is true for non-good and neutral. The likeness of the Victorious One or that good, causing entry

It is also like following after virtuous deeds, and following after non-indicated things is also virtuous. It is said that the mind to be abandoned by meditation is both extremely entering and following. Both are born from Vipaka. Since the mind born from Vipaka enters without effort, it is neither extremely entering nor following. By the way, this is the end. What was said before is not consciousness, called the three types. Vows, non-vows, and others. Because it prevents and stops the flow of immoral precepts, it is a vow. Among them, the vow is called Pratimoksha. Similarly, born of stainless Samadhi. Among them, there are eight types of Pratimoksha. Bhikshu, Bhikshuni, Shikshamana, Shramanera, Shramanerika, Upasaka, Upasika, and the vow of Upavasatha. This vow has eight types in name. There are four types in substance. The vows of Bhikshu, Shramanera, Upasaka, and Upavasatha. How do you know? Because the name changes from gender. If the gender changes, the Bhikshu is called Bhikshuni, and the Bhikshuni is also called Bhikshu. Similarly, the Upasaka is the same until the Upasika. After the gender changes, there is neither a reason to abandon the previous vow nor a reason to obtain the vow that did not exist before. When this vow arises, it is also different. Born but not mixed. When an Upasaka takes the vows of Shramanera and Bhikshu, adding other vows from the previous ones does not make it more special. Similarly, others are also the same. These are not contradictory. Correctly taking the later vow does not mean abandoning what was obtained earlier. If not, then completely abandoning the vow of Bhikshu would also become not an Upasaka. How is it from Upasaka to Bhikshu? From abandoning the five, eight, and all things to be abandoned, the Upasaka and Upavasatha, the Shramanera and the Bhikshu themselves. From the five things to be abandoned, correctly taking back the return is the Upasaka.
