At that time. It is called "time". The situation of karma such as the blessings of previous lives is called "actions". By what karma does it ripen here? Consciousness is the aggregate of rebirth. At the moment of conception in the mother's womb, the five aggregates are consciousness. Name and form are after that, before the six sense bases arise. After the mind of rebirth, until the six sense bases have not arisen, it is called "name and form". That is before the union of the three. After the six sense bases arise, until the root, object, and consciousness have not united, that state is called "six sense bases". Contact is before the ability to know the cause of suffering and happiness, etc. Contact arises at that time, until it is unable to cut off the causes of the three feelings. After being able to cut off, feeling is before attachment. The state of feeling is until attachment is not fully practiced. Existence is the enjoyment of those with attachment, the qualities of desire. The state of fully practicing attachment, until one has not entered into seeking objects, is craving. Grasping is for the sake of obtaining enjoyment, and wandering everywhere. The state, wherever one enters into wandering in order to obtain objects, wandering in all places, is grasping. When wandering in such a way, at that time, the karma that produces the result is existence. That, for the sake of obtaining objects, when wandering, there is also the karma of existence, etc., that is its existence. That karma also causes rebirth from here in the next life, rebirth is birth. What is the limb of consciousness here, that is birth in another life. After that, the state of feeling is old age and death. After birth, until the state of feeling is old age and death. In that place, the four limbs, name and form, and the six sense bases, as well as contact and feeling, whatever those are, are old age and death in other places. Although there are many dependent originations, this is considered to be a state. The main thing.

Therefore, the limbs are declared. When ignorance and so on are the main focus, only ignorance and so on are mentioned. The three-part dependent origination, which shows sentient beings, is also for: "To completely eliminate all ignorance in the past and future." How ignorance arises from the past to the middle, and from the middle to the future, to eliminate these ignorances, the three parts and the showing of sentient beings are taught. Here, dependent origination is the nature of affliction, action, and basis. Among them, there are three afflictions: ignorance, craving, and grasping. There are two actions: formations and existence. There are seven bases. The remaining limbs, such as consciousness, are the nature of the base, because they are the support for action and affliction. How it is a base, so it is also a result. The seven limbs themselves are the result. The remaining five limbs are the cause. Only the middle is extensively explained as cause and result, the cause and result of the two are abbreviated, inferred from the middle. Only from the middle can it be inferred that the cause and result of the past and future are extensively explained. If dependent origination is only the twelve limbs, then, because the cause of ignorance is not indicated, cyclic existence will also become having a beginning, and because the result of aging and death is not indicated, it will become having an end, or it needs to be supplemented by others. If there is another, it will become endless. It is not necessary to supplement, because the Blessed One has already indicated: "From affliction arises affliction, action is also the same, from that arises the base and affliction, here is the division of existence." From affliction arises affliction, that is, existence arises grasping. From affliction arises action, that is, grasping arises existence, and ignorance arises formations. From action arises the base, that is, formations arise consciousness, and existence arises birth. From the base arises the base, that is, from consciousness arises name and form, and from contact arises feeling, and from birth arises aging and death. From the base arises affliction, that is, from feeling arises existence. Therefore, the order of the limbs of existence.
