All have been explained. Since the determination of time has not been explained, it is explained. Pervasive and co-existent time are two, namely the past and the present occurrences. These three are the three times. Those that arise simultaneously and possess similar qualities, as well as the causes of maturation, are the three times. What are those causes, and what are those effects? Conditioned phenomena and liberation are both included in the effect. If that is the case, then unconditioned phenomena should also be effects, therefore they should also become causes of effects, and because they are causes, they should also become effects of causes. Only conditioned phenomena have causes and effects, unconditioned phenomena do not have these. Because the six causes are impossible, and the five effects are also impossible. Furthermore, among these effects, which effect belongs to which cause? The maturation effect is the last. The maturation cause is the maturation effect. The dominant effect is the first. The efficient cause is the dominant effect. Equiflow, co-existent, and pervasive, because these two and similar effects, therefore it is the equiflow effect. The person is of the two. The effect produced by the person is of the causes that arise simultaneously and possess similar qualities. Furthermore, the maturation effect, What is this? What is also between the dominant effects? Maturation is unspecified dharma. Sentient beings are speakable, and prophecies arise later. Why isn't karma produced from things that are not shown as sentient beings? Because it is common. Prophecies that arise later arise from virtue and non-virtue. Equiflow is similar to the cause. What dharma is similar to the cause, that is the equiflow effect. Liberation is exhausted by wisdom. Cessation through individual examination is the liberation effect. By the power of what does what arise, that effect arises from the activity of the person. For example, with the mind of the samadhi of the lower ground, the samadhi of the upper ground, and with outflows or without outflows, and so on. Conditioned phenomena that are not previously produced are the dominant effect unique to conditioned phenomena. Conditioned phenomena that are not previously produced are the dominant effect of all conditioned phenomena.

It is the fruit. Furthermore, among these causes, which one holds or produces the fruit at what time? The five hold the fruit now. Because they have already been completely held, they are not the past, and because there is no masculine action, they are not the future either. Two are able to produce. Co-emergent and corresponding causes produce the fruit now. The present and the past, only two of them are not diminished in power, and are pervasive causes. Now I am also for the sake of accomplishing later, and that is also the later past. One is produced by the past. Like this, there is no co-emergent or immediately matured fruit. So, what dharma is produced by the cause and time? Answer: In short, there are four kinds of dharmas, namely: afflicted dharmas, resultant-born dharmas, the first of the uncontaminated, and their remaining dharmas, namely, the unspecified dharmas other than the resultant, and the virtuous dharmas other than the first moment of the uncontaminated. They are: affliction and resultant-born, the remainder and the first are the four noble ones in order. Resultant and pervasive, these two, except for the co-emergent, are produced by the remainder. Afflicted dharmas are produced by the remaining causes except for the resultant cause. Resultant-born dharmas are produced by the remaining causes except for the pervasive cause. The remaining dharmas are produced by the remaining causes except for the resultant and pervasive causes. Uncontaminated roots are produced by the remaining causes except for the causes that are equal in power to them. What are these dharmas that are spoken of? They are the mind and mental factors in equipoise. So, what are those that are not associated with the mind, and what are the form dharmas like? Except for the corresponding, the other four are also like that. Except for the corresponding cause, the way in which the afflicted dharmas and so on, the mind and mental factors arise is also like that. The extensive explanation of causes ends here. What are the conditions? The conditions are said to be four. From where is it said? In the sutra, it is said that the conditions are
