Thus it was said. So, in what is called "Discrimination," from the discrimination of the correct collection of chapters of discrimination, what are the dharmas of supernormal knowledge? Excellent wisdom is called supernormal knowledge, because it knows the reality of all dharmas as they are. The three are called knowledge. The beginning is in Shravasti. The non-learning knowledge is threefold: the non-learning knowledge of remembering previous abodes, that is, the knowledge of remembering and knowing previous abodes; the non-learning knowledge of death and birth, that is, the knowledge of knowing death and birth; and the non-learning knowledge of the exhaustion of outflows, that is, the knowledge of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. Previous abodes are known by knowledge. After seeing the heavens and the evil destinies, by the determination of this supernormal knowledge, the extinction of the Sage's birth will be exhausted. From all, attachment is completely liberated, and the mind becomes liberated from attachment. Because the three knowledges are complete, therefore it is called the three knowledges. Thus it was said. The three kinds of miracles are: they come from the fourth of the six sutras, the Touching Sutra. Then, the Blessed One shaved the heads of a thousand braided ones and ordained them, and they dwelt as they wished. Wherever Gaya Head was, he traveled and went, gradually going to Gaya Head. At the Ashirsha stupa of Gaya Head, he dwelt together with a thousand monks. Then, the Blessed One taught the thousand monks with the three kinds of miracles, namely the miracle of supernormal power, the miracle of instruction, and the miracle of subsequent instruction. Among them, the miracle of supernormal power of the Blessed One is this: how the Blessed One enters into samadhi, as if disappearing from his own seat, entering into such a samadhi. Moving to the east, he showed the four postures, namely walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, thus showing. Entering into the fire element samadhi, and having entered into the fire element samadhi, various kinds of light emanated from the body of the Buddha, the Blessed One, such as blue, yellow, red, white, and green.

Showing miracles that produce crystal-like colors, a stream of cold water flowing from the upper part of the body and burning from the lower part, and a stream of cold water flowing from the lower part of the body and burning from the upper part. Just as in the east, so also in the south, and so also in the west, and so also in the north. After displaying the miraculous powers in the four directions, above and below, in order to gather these miraculous powers, they were subdued again. Seated on the seat prepared in front of the community of monks. This is the miracle of the Blessed One's miraculous powers. The miracle of the Blessed One's pronouncements is this: Monks, your mind is like this, your intention is like this, your consciousness is like this, you think like this, you do not think like this, you attend like this, you do not attend like this, this is abandoned, this is realized by the body and practiced and dwelt in. This is the miracle of the Blessed One's pronouncements. The miracle of the Blessed One's subsequent teachings is this: Monks, all of this is burning. Monks, what is it that is burning? Monks, the eye is burning. Forms, eye consciousness, eye contact, and the feeling that arises from eye contact, whether it is pleasant, painful, or neither pleasant nor painful, that too is burning. By what is it burning? It is burning with the fire of desire, the fire of hatred, the fire of delusion, and with birth, old age, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, distress, despair, all these sufferings are burning, I say. Monks, the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind are all burning, phenomena and mind consciousness, mind contact, and the feeling that arises from mind contact, whether it is pleasant, painful, or neither pleasant nor painful, all
