"This leakage is completely exhausted" - whether a Shramana, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, whoever it may be, if they have not truly observed the cause of refutation in accordance with the Dharma, like this, not having truly observed the cause, I have attained happiness, attained fearlessness, and abide in fearlessness, vowing to the position of the supreme great assembly. The wheel of Brahma turns excellently, and the lion's roar resounds within the wheel. Whatever obstructive Dharmas I have spoken to the Shravakas, even if they are taught, they will not become obstructions - whether a Shramana, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, whoever it may be, if they have not truly observed the cause of refutation in accordance with the Dharma, like this, not having truly observed the cause, I have attained happiness, attained fearlessness, and abide in fearlessness, vowing to the position of the supreme great assembly, the wheel of Brahma turns excellently, and the lion's roar resounds within the wheel. Whatever noble path of definite emergence I have spoken to the Shravakas is definite and definitely leads to emergence, and whatever completely exhausts suffering, is the end of suffering - thus spoken, if someone says "it is not the path of emergence" - whether a Shramana, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, whoever it may be, if they have not truly seen or observed the cause of refutation in accordance with the Dharma, like this, not having truly observed the cause, I have attained happiness, attained fearlessness, and abide in fearlessness, vowing to the position of the supreme great assembly, the wheel of Brahma turns excellently, and the lion's roar resounds within the wheel - thus spoken. "These three mindfulnesses" - here, from the second sutra of the Samyukta Agama, the Shaddhatu-nirdeśa, it is extracted as follows: Bhikshus, these three mindfulnesses are cultivated by the noble ones, are worthy of being cultivated by the noble ones, and are a complete collection - as I have said, I will explain it briefly. Bhikshus, here, the teacher has loving-kindness for the Shravakas, has compassion, intends benefit, intends welfare, and with loving-kindness says, "This is benefit, this is happiness, this is benefit and happiness,"

When the teacher teaches the Dharma, saying, "This is benefit, this is happiness, this is benefit and happiness," some hearers do not listen, do not lend an ear, do not keep the all-knowing mind nearby, and do not understand the conformity of the Dharma in all things. Even if they go beyond the teacher's teachings, they will not harm the Tathagata, will not be unbearable, will not be disturbed, and will not displease the heart. To this, the Tathagata dwells in equanimity with mindfulness and awareness. This is the first mindfulness that is relied upon by the noble ones, is worthy of being relied upon by the noble ones, and gathers all the assembly. Furthermore, the teacher treats the hearers with love, compassion, benefit, and well-being, and teaches the Dharma with love, saying, "This is benefit, this is happiness, this is benefit and happiness." Some hearers listen, lend an ear, keep the all-knowing mind nearby, and understand the conformity of the Dharma in all things. They truly follow the teacher's teachings, and they will not please the Tathagata. The mind will not be shaken. To this, the Tathagata dwells in equanimity with mindfulness and awareness. This is the second mindfulness that is relied upon by the noble ones, is worthy of being relied upon by the noble ones, and gathers all the assembly. Furthermore, the teacher treats the hearers with love, compassion, benefit, and well-being, and teaches the Dharma with love, saying, "This is benefit, this is happiness, this is benefit and happiness." Some hearers neither listen nor lend an ear, do not keep the all-knowing mind nearby, do not understand the conformity of the Dharma in all things, and do not go beyond the teacher's teachings. Some hearers listen, lend an ear, keep the all-knowing mind nearby, understand the conformity of the Dharma in all things, and do not go beyond the teacher's teachings, but they will not harm the Tathagata, will not be unbearable, will not be disturbed, will not displease the heart, but will please the heart.
