Therefore, I have explained in this way that there are one hundred and eight kinds of feelings. If you ask in what way I have explained immeasurable feelings, however one feels, it goes into the number of feelings. Therefore, I have explained in this way that there are immeasurable feelings. If someone does not fully understand all the meanings of the Dharma that I have explained in various ways, then it should be hoped that the fighting, fault-finding, arguing, debating, and disputes among these people will not be pacified by the Vinaya. If someone fully understands all the meanings of the Dharma that I have explained in various ways, then it should be hoped that the fighting, fault-finding, arguing, debating, and disputes among these people will be pacified and abide in the Vinaya. The Blessed One spoke thus. I was considering that actions are impermanent. The story took place in Shravasti. Then, the Venerable Ananda, alone in a secluded place, abiding in the correct concentration of the mind, such thoughts arose in his mind: The Blessed One has spoken of three kinds of feelings, namely pleasant, painful, and neither pleasant nor painful. The Blessed One has also said that whatever feeling there is, it is all suffering. Considering what did the Blessed One say that whatever feeling there is, it is all suffering? Then, the Venerable Ananda arose from the correct concentration of his mind and went to where the Blessed One was. Having arrived, he bowed to the feet of the Blessed One with his head and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, the Venerable Ananda said to the Blessed One: Venerable Blessed One, here I was alone in a secluded place, abiding in the correct concentration of my mind, and such thoughts arose in my mind: The Blessed One has spoken of these three feelings, and the Blessed One has also said that whatever feeling there is, it is all suffering.
