Joy makes body and mind extremely pliable. At that time, extreme pliancy is the beginning of the branch of perfect enlightenment. At that time, extreme pliancy is the practice of the branch of perfect enlightenment. At that time, extreme pliancy is the complete practice of the branch of perfect enlightenment. If the body is extremely pliable, one experiences happiness, and the mind will be equally placed in samadhi. At that time, samadhi is the beginning of the branch of perfect enlightenment. At that time, samadhi is the practice of the branch of perfect enlightenment. At that time, samadhi is the complete practice of the branch of perfect enlightenment. Similarly, when one abides in equanimity, worldly greed and displeasure are completely eliminated, and one becomes indifferent. At that time, indifference is the beginning of the branch of perfect enlightenment. At that time, indifference is the practice of the branch of perfect enlightenment. At that time, indifference is the complete practice of the branch of perfect enlightenment. Here, monks, one abides contemplating phenomena in phenomena, in feelings, mind, and dharmas. Abiding contemplating phenomena in phenomena, mindfulness is present and one is not completely deluded. At that time, mindfulness is the beginning of the branch of perfect enlightenment, and so on, extensively, until at that time, equanimity is the complete practice of the branch of perfect enlightenment. Monks, in this way, the branches of enlightenment will be attained in sequence, and in this order, the branches of enlightenment will arise, thus the Buddha spoke. Monks, how is it? Monks, the arising and ceasing of the establishments of mindfulness will be explained. Listen carefully and keep it in mind, and I will explain. Monks, how is the arising and ceasing of the four establishments of mindfulness? Monks, with the arising of food, the body arises, and with the cessation of food, the body ceases. One abides seeing the body as having the nature of arising, and one abides seeing the body as having the nature of decay. The body ari-

And abiding seeing the nature of arising and ceasing, not relying and abiding, then one does not take up the world at all. Monks, with the arising of contact, feeling arises; with the cessation of contact, feeling ceases. Abiding seeing the nature of arising of feeling, abiding seeing the nature of ceasing of feeling, abiding seeing the nature of arising and ceasing of feeling, not relying and abiding, then one does not take up the world at all. Monks, with the arising of name and form, mind arises; with the cessation of name and form, mind ceases. Abiding seeing the nature of arising of mind, abiding seeing the nature of ceasing of mind, abiding seeing the nature of arising and ceasing of mind, not relying and abiding, then one does not take up the world at all. Monks, with the arising of attention, dharma arises; with the cessation of attention, dharma ceases. Abiding seeing the nature of arising of dharma, abiding seeing the nature of ceasing of dharma, abiding seeing the nature of arising and ceasing of dharma, not relying and abiding, then one does not take up the world at all. Monks, thus the arising and ceasing of the mindfulnesses are all. Monks, the arising and ceasing of the four mindfulnesses that I have spoken of should be explained extensively. Thus he spoke. Also, in the sutra it says that the so-called right complete nirvana is through the door of the collection of the path and the limbs of the path. The path of the wrong limb causes one to fall into hell, and the uninterrupted karma is also truly combined with it, which should be viewed in the sutra. This sutra is also in the third chapter of the Abhidharmakosha, The noble ones and those who commit uninterrupted karma are definitely right and wrong. Thus it has been written. Arising and so on are the manifest realizations of actions, for the sake of abandoning, realizing, and meditating. The basis of speech is listening.

At that time. Monks, these four are the four noble truths. What are the four? Namely, the noble truth of suffering, the noble truth of the origin of suffering, the noble truth of the cessation of suffering, and the noble truth of the path leading to the cessation of suffering. Among these, the noble truth of suffering should be fully understood through direct knowledge, the noble truth of the origin should be completely abandoned through direct knowledge, the noble truth of cessation should be realized through direct knowledge, and the noble truth of the path should be cultivated through direct knowledge. Monks, any monk who fully understands the noble truth of suffering through direct knowledge, and having directly known the noble truth of the origin of suffering, abandons it, and having directly known the noble truth of cessation, realizes it, and having directly known the noble truth of the path leading to the cessation of suffering, cultivates it, that monk is said to have cut off existence, abandoned all bonds, realized the right path, and is called the one who ends suffering. Regarding the noble hearer's contemplation of suffering as suffering, it comes from the seventh section of the Compendium of the Door of the Limb of the Path in the Chapter of the Path, from the sutra such as "Right View." In the fourth chapter of the Abhidharma-kosa, it is written, "Those who abandon are said to be aquatic and terrestrial." From this, it is extracted as follows: What is the noble, supramundane, undefiled right view, without attachment, the complete exhaustion of suffering, that which enters for the sake of ending suffering? Here, the noble hearer contemplates suffering as suffering, or contemplates origin as origin, or contemplates cessation as cessation, or contemplates the path as the path, the undefiled attention associated with it, the dharma that is well distinguished, that is, distinction, and well distinction, and interpretation, and correct interpretation, and near interpretation, and reliance, and the knowledge of individual intelligence, and seeing, and wisdom, and intelligence, and contemplation, this is the noble, supramundane, undefiled right view, without attachment.
