Without wrinkles, the neck is neither too long nor too short, adorned with three lines; the collarbones are equally measured, stable and unbending, neither too long nor too wide; the lips are as red as the bimba fruit, soft and beautiful; the flesh of the gums is as soft as the bandhujivaka flower; the teeth are clean and soft, pure and beautiful; the canines are even, well-defined, round and sharp, soft; when needed, rays of light emanate instantaneously to the right from the teeth; the tongue is immaculate, soft and red; the crown of the head is sharp and soft like the crest on an elephant's head; the nose is soft and high; the beard is not thick, soft with firm roots, soft and slender, like a blue kundalika flower; the cheeks are neither too high nor too sharp, full and plump; possessing uneven and even colors; the forehead is clearly defined, like a conch and a crescent moon; the eyes are wide and soft, gentle and completely pure; the eyelashes are very dense and uncurled; the gaze is tame and pure, pervading without being crooked; the eyes blaze like fire for the sake of the five powers that are not very weak; the eyebrows are long, black, smooth, and harmonious; the soft forehead is as smooth and broad as a golden tablet and the moon; like a full lunar disc; the head is upright and as hard as a vajra; the head is fully expanded like an umbrella; the arrangement of the hair is smooth and not tangled, soft like a bee, smooth and connected, possessing an excellent fragrance; the Tathagata Buddhas are such that gods, asuras, humans, and nagas cannot see the crown of the head. The Kashmiris do this: the body of the Buddha possesses excellent marks and signs, which bring auspiciousness to all the world. As the Venerable Dhyig Shes said: "The body is adorned with garlands, conches, umbrellas, auspicious good fortune knots, iron hooks, victory banners, weapons, moons, water, and lotuses." To express this meaning correctly, it is also said: "The eighty true minor marks are the Sugata's excellent signs."
