Why does such doubt arise? With the Buddha's remembrance in mind, you were killed, the world is full of harm, what will become of my going? Make one son happy, eliminate harm with mind and words, gradually receive prophecy, the object of ordination, and come to know. The one who should not be killed is killed, possessing the decree of harm and peaceful fruit. This one, like father and mother, is the lord of all subjects. You are the best of my life-giving sons, please allow me to ordain and attain peace, do not hesitate. Son, do you see? The Buddha, the Bhagavan, possesses various supreme compassionate deeds, engaging trainees according to thought, latent tendencies, realm, nature, complete maturation of faculties, roots of virtue, and timely and untimely circumstances. I thought to myself that you were afflicted by karma that is certain to ripen, so with compassion, he remained neutral. Thus he contemplated. The great sage, for whom it is not the time and not the vessel, does not descend, nor does he remain neutral. Therefore, in this way, he remained neutral.
