I shall see the wisdom of liberation, my life is exhausted. The Brahmachariya has been practiced. What had to be done has been done. It will be known that there is no other existence than this. Bhikshus, among all wisdoms, the most excellent is the exhaustion of defilements. Therefore, a bhikshu who possesses this will be endowed with the supreme blessing of wisdom. His liberation will be endowed with the supreme blessing of truth. Bhikshus, the most excellent among falsehoods is the dharma of deceiving falsehood. Bhikshus, the most excellent among truths is this, namely, knowing things as they are. Therefore, a bhikshu who possesses this will be endowed with the supreme blessing of truth. Whoever takes this up will take it up more easily than those who were previously unwise and ignorant, and without it, at that time, it will become ugly and unpleasant. Bhikshus, among all emptinesses, the most excellent is the complete liberation from all grasping, the exhaustion of existence, freedom from desire, cessation, Nirvana. Therefore, a bhikshu who possesses this will be endowed with the supreme blessing of abandonment. Bhikshus, the mind is not liberated from the near afflictions of desire, nor is the mind liberated from the near afflictions of hatred and the near afflictions of ignorance. Bhikshus, having completely abandoned desire, hatred, and ignorance, it is called renunciation, detachment, exhaustion, freedom from desire, cessation, peace, extinction, and near peace. Bhikshus, the most excellent near peace is this, namely, having completely abandoned desire, hatred, and ignorance, renunciation, detachment, exhaustion, freedom from desire, cessation, peace, and extinction. Therefore, a bhikshu who possesses this will be endowed with the supreme blessing of the most excellent peace. Bhikshus, what is called "I" is impermanent, what is called "mine" is impermanent, what is called "will be" is impermanent, what is called "will not be" is impermanent, what is called "form will be" is impermanent, what is called "form will not be" is impermanent, what is called "perception will be" is impermanent, what is called "perception"

That which is called 'not arising' is impermanent. That which is called 'neither perception nor non-perception arising' is impermanent. Bhikshus, impermanence is a disease, impermanence is a boil, impermanence is a dart, impermanence is the root of suffering. Having thus understood, one should abide mostly with a stable mind, endowed with mindfulness and clear comprehension. Just as impermanence is, so also are thorough knowledge, proliferation, and conditioned phenomena. Bhikshus, that which is called 'I' is craving, that which is called 'my I' is craving, that which is called 'I will arise' is craving, that which is called 'I will not arise' is craving, that which is called 'form will arise' is craving, that which is called 'formless will arise' is craving, that which is called 'perception will arise' is craving, that which is called 'perception will not arise' is craving, that which is called 'neither perception nor non-perception will arise' is craving. Bhikshus, craving is a disease, craving is a boil, craving is a dart, craving is the root of suffering. Having thus understood, one should abide mostly with a mind free from craving, endowed with mindfulness and clear comprehension. Bhikshus, if one completely abandons impermanence, thorough knowledge, proliferation, conditioned phenomena, and craving, it is called renunciation, freedom from craving, cessation, freedom from desire, cessation, peace, disappearance, and nirvana. Bhikshus, the so-called 'capable one' is without birth, without aging, without death, without hatred, without attachment, and without torment. Why is that? Because this has no cause and no condition, therefore there is no birth. If there is no birth, from what will aging occur? If there is no aging, from what will death occur? If there is no death, from what will hatred occur? If there is no hatred, from what will attachment occur? If there is no aging, from what will torment occur? Thus, my birth is exhausted, the holy life has been lived, what needed to be done has been done, it is known that there is no further existence.

He fully understood with his own wisdom. Monks, the category of Dharma called "The Six Elements Discriminated," which is good in the beginning, good in the middle, and good in the end, with good meaning and good words, unmixed, completely perfect, completely pure, completely tamed, revealing the Brahma conduct, should be preached. As I have shown the category of Dharma of the element discrimination, I will extensively preach it. When this category of Dharma was taught, the venerable Pukkusaati arose with a pure Dharma eye, without stain and free from defilement, towards all the Dharmas. Then, the venerable Pukkusaati saw the Dharma, attained the Dharma, knew the Dharma, entered the Dharma, transcended doubt, transcended Somaani, and having obtained fearlessness in the teachings of the Dharma that are not dependent on others, he rose from his seat, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, prostrated at the feet of the Blessed One, and said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, by calling the teacher 'Venerable' with childishness, foolishness, obscurity, and ignorance, I have committed a sin. Sugata, I have committed a sin. Venerable, please recognize my sin, tolerate my sin, and accept me with compassion for regarding sin as sin." "Monk, you are right. By calling the teacher 'Venerable' with childishness, foolishness, obscurity, and ignorance, it is indeed committing a sin. Monk, therefore, one should know sin, see sin, confess sin, and take a vow not to commit it again in the future. One should desire the increase of good Dharmas. Why? Monk, if someone knows sin, sees sin, confesses sin, and upholds the vow not to commit it again in the future, then the good Dharmas will not decline and will increase." Then, the Blessed One taught, exhorted, and delighted the venerable Pukkusaati with the Dharma, and then rose from his seat and departed. The venerable Pukkusaati also followed behind the Blessed One. Prostrating at the feet of the Blessed One
