It is impossible to realize enlightenment and become a supreme and perfectly enlightened Buddha; this is impossible, but it is possible for one who is born to achieve this. It is impossible and there is no opportunity for a sentient being who possesses perfect views to intentionally not kill living beings; this is impossible, but it is possible for ordinary people. It is impossible and there is no opportunity for a sentient being who possesses perfect views to intentionally kill their father, kill an Arhat, cause dissension in the Sangha, and with a mind of hatred, draw blood from the body of the Tathagata; this is impossible and there is no opportunity. But it is possible for ordinary people. It is impossible and there is no opportunity for a sentient being who possesses perfect views to intentionally kill animals, intentionally transgress precepts, cause precepts to deteriorate, and follow the objects of offering of other non-Buddhists, have faith in the teachers of other non-Buddhists, and think that these ascetics and Brahmins are to be known and seen, and show inclination and observation towards other ascetics and Brahmins, hold faith in auspiciousness and good omens, and achieve the eighth existence; this is impossible, but it is possible for ordinary people. It is impossible and there is no opportunity that if one abandons the five obscurations that cause mental affliction, weaken wisdom, and become obstacles to attaining Nirvana, then the mind will be well-established and practice the four mindfulnesses; this is impossible. If one abandons the five obscurations that cause mental affliction, weaken wisdom, and become obstacles to attaining Nirvana, then the mind will be well-established and abide in the four mindfulnesses; this is possible. It is impossible and there is no opportunity that if one does not abandon the five obscurations that cause mental affliction, weaken wisdom, and become aids to obstacles to attaining Nirvana, then the mind will be well-established and abide in the four mindfulnesses, and cultivate the seven factors of enlightenment; this
