If those people enter a cool well and quickly come out of it, then the water and coarse drops of water there will quickly fall down, just like there is fine water in the pores of a pot. For those who are untamed and unrestrained, being in this state many times, occasionally good thoughts and dharmas arising from the mind will manifest. Then, non-virtue itself will be extensively practiced, and in any case, it will mostly lean towards evil. If one thinks that deliberately severing the life of a special being has no karmic consequences of good or bad, then at other times, he will not generate even a trace of regret. Even if he severs the life of a special person, he will not generate even a trace of regret, thinking that there are no karmic consequences of good or bad. Just by this, it can be said that this person's roots of virtue in the three realms are completely severed. This person's roots of virtue have no opportunity to connect in the visible Dharma nature. This person's roots of virtue will definitely connect when dying or being born from hells. If a person like this deliberately severs life, and severing the lives of beings like ants, which sin is greater? If the afflictions are the same, then the consequences are also the same. Some also say this: deliberately severing the lives of beings like ants is a greater sin, but not for a person like this. Why is that? The answer is: because the roots of virtue of beings like ants are not completely severed, but this person's roots of virtue are completely severed. This is extracted from the eighth breath called "Subtle Increase" and from the fifth aggregate of consciousness. From what is called "Aggregate of Ethics" and so on, from the Sutra of the Third Staff of the Aggregate of Ethics, it is extracted like this: In any case, the three staffs, whether they are renunciates or Brahmins, enjoy the offerings given with faith, and for various purposes, they diligently abide by following along. For example, an elephant

A monk or Brahmin should be separated from those who are engaged in and dwell in practices devoted to such views. The Blessed One said so. Also, regarding what the permanent resident Mahakashyapa said, such as "how", etc., starting from the two wheels and two signs that perfectly correspond to the king, the water god messenger, Atak Vidhaṁgi, and the preceding and following sutras. In the last sutra, it says: The Blessed One was dwelling in the Deer Park where the hermit spoke in Varanasi. Then, many monks gathered together because they were dwelling nearby, and such a conversation arose among them: Venerable ones, if a white-clothed householder's house could obtain a hundred karshapanas each day, or who would offer a single meal to a monk who is virtuous, virtuous, and without fault, who would it be? One of them said: Venerable ones, it would be best if a white-clothed householder's house could obtain a hundred karshapanas each day, and he would offer a single meal to a monk who is virtuous, virtuous, and without fault. Another said: Venerable ones, what is the use of obtaining a thousand karshapanas even if a white-clothed householder's house could obtain a hundred karshapanas each day? It would be best if he offered a single meal to a monk who is virtuous, virtuous, and without fault. At that time, the permanent resident Mahakashyapa was also gathered in that assembly. Then, the permanent resident Mahakashyapa said to the monks
