, and is associated with the mind of fruition. In the desire realm, it is associated with the nature of the view of the perishable aggregate and the clinging to extremes, as well as with what is born from fruition, conduct, skillful activities, and the mind of transformation. The meaning of "root" is the meaning of "cause." Wisdom that is unobscured and unclassified can also serve as a cause, so it is also an unclassified root. In the world, roots are seen as stable and located below. Therefore, doubt is wavering, entering into two states, so it does not conform to the dharma of a root and should not be a root. Pride is characterized by arrogance, so it enters into a high place, so it does not conform to the dharma of a root and should not be a root. The Niyokpas say that there are four unclassified roots. The above is a detailed explanation. Among them, regarding meditation that is heavily influenced by desire, it refers to those who cultivate meditation that is associated with tasting flavors, and they are meditators who are heavily influenced by desire. Meditators who are heavily influenced by views are those who rely on meditation to generate views such as permanence. Meditators who are heavily influenced by pride are those who, through that meditation, consider themselves to have attained the four dhyanas, while other monks are not like that. From meditators who are heavily influenced by desire to meditators who are heavily influenced by pride, what is the meaning? Because this person has the state of cultivating meditation that increases existence, they are meditators who are heavily influenced by desire. Or, they are both heavily influenced by desire and are meditators, so they are meditators who are heavily influenced by desire, which is a synonym for increased desire. Meditators who are heavily influenced by views and pride are also the same as this. These are also transformed by the power of ignorance. The "these" refers to the connection with the three types of meditators. Therefore, ignorance is also an unclassified root. For those who enter into meditation, because it is related to what is unclassified, these states of the universal arising of afflictions are explained. The sutra says that fourteen unclassified dharmas are proclaimed, and what is explained in detail is: Is the world permanent? Is the world impermanent? And so on.

O. If it is said, "Because those were not predicted," is it because they are neither virtuous nor non-virtuous? "That which should be placed" means that that which should not be spoken is also considered unpredicted. Questions are of four types, which will be explained in detail later. "Death and birth and special excellence, self and other, etc., are like this." This means like death, like birth, like special excellence, like self and other. In order, it is intended to exemplify unified predictions, etc. The example of "unified prediction" is death. Those with afflictions will be born, but those without afflictions will not. This is to differentiate and exemplify prediction. "Relying on what to ask" means that for the purpose of asking and then predicting, special excellence itself is an example. "Is there a sentient being other than the aggregates?" This is for placing, and self and other are two examples. "Others say" refers to the bhikkhuni. All sentient beings will die, and this is not only a unified prediction, but also that all sentient beings will not be born, and this is also a unified prediction. The teacher answers in detail, "What, what." If one asks, "What, what, will all those who will die be born?" then not all will be born. What then? Those with afflictions will be born, but those without afflictions will not. This is to differentiate and predict. Therefore, this is a unified prediction. The bhikkhuni said that humans also have two, namely inferiority and special excellence. For example, consciousness is an example of that. "It is both cause and effect" means that cause and effect are relative to cause and effect, and it is predicted that it is both cause and effect. The teacher said that for unified questioning, special exce-
