Because it is due to effort. Because it has been said that it is the karma of mind and the karma of thought. Therefore, it is certain that it does not arise from afflictions. If you do not want it to arise from afflictions, then it would contradict the sutra that says "should be specially considered." The sutra says "from" is extensively explained. The so-called "from that door" means that the mind enters through the door of greed, etc. Therefore, greed, etc., can show that mind. Otherwise, it would contradict the sutra. The Vaibhashikas say that because it is a collection of mental karma, they say to those like this, just as showing the outflows to be abandoned in what should be abandoned. The so-called "reproach" means that the noble ones reproach. The so-called "the opposite is good conduct," for this collection of the karma of body, speech, and mind, and the end, and the virtuous mind, greed, harmful mind, and wrong views, etc., whichever is slightly, from the opposite of bad conduct, it is called the good conduct of body, speech, and mind. The so-called "because it is the root of that," because it is the root of the thought of benefiting others, therefore right view itself is virtue.

Is it not? If it is both? For the time being, regarding things not done personally, there is the saying, "The six unwholesome are not manifestations," which is explained extensively, because there is no actual manifestation. Here, whatever manifestation is used to command, it is only the application, not the actual thing. In the phrase "at the time of death," if one dies later, except for the time of manifestation, then since it is only the application of manifestation, the path of action is entirely not manifestation. In the phrase "the precepts taken correctly," the phrase "taken correctly" is mentioned in order to distinguish it from the precepts of nature. That depends only on the mind, not on the manifestation, which is the discipline of meditation and the discipline without outflows. In the phrase "because it depends only on the mind," the word "only" is used to exclude the precepts taken correctly. "With great effort" means with great force. Here, the word "approximation" refers only to the application, because it is said that "the opposite is the end." "The Dharma that agrees with it afterwards" means if it agrees with the path of action. Since the application, the actual deed, and the conclusion of the path of action have been explained, but the classification of those applications, etc., has not been explained, it is asked again in detail how much there is. In the phrase "completely perfect with application and result," the complete perfection of the result of the application is the cutting off of the life of another being. It will be said thus: Merely the application, and the cutting off of the life of another being itself, will not be touched by the sin of killing. What then? If one has made an application in order to cut off the life of another being. "From then on" means after cutting off. Similarly, for the other six, it should be applied appropriately. Regarding taking what is not given, how does one make a thief rise from the bed? Taking weapons, going to another's house, listening to whether they are asleep or not, digging, entering, starting from coveting another's property.
