From (here) to the first dhyana with outflows and without outflows, and the state between relying on the first dhyana. "Even a little is not needed" means that even a little is not accomplished. Why? Because it is inferior. "There is nothing of the noble one at the peak of existence" means that the noble one refers to the one without outflows. At the peak of existence, the birth of the sphere of nothingness without outflows has been directly realized, and from the state of direct realization, its outflows will be abandoned. The tone of the word "ni" is to show the meaning of special exclusion. "Because one does not have it oneself, and it is also close" means that without the path without outflows, one cannot attain the state of an Arhat. The one at the peak of existence also does not have the one without outflows, therefore, there is no fault in the one who is born there and attains the state of an Arhat, through directly realizing the lower path. There, only the ground of the sphere of nothingness is directly realized, not the others, because it is close, because it has been accustomed to. This is the summary of this sentence. "Mentioning existence" means to grasp the things with outflows. It is said in the sutra: "What are the dharmas of existence? They are the dharmas with outflows." "The grounds are completely cut off by craving" means that craving is determined by the object of its own ground. These two are completely cut off, for example, whatever increases the craving of desire, that is the desire realm, and so on. Because it will become virtuous, it is also not for the one without outflows. The object of the one without outflows cannot be craving, because "it is not craving, because it is to be abandoned." Seeking that meaning is the intention for virtuous dharmas, not craving. "Formless substantial good all, realm of practice with outflows lower not" means that mentioning "substantial" is to exclude the proximate, the proximate is the lower ground as the object. Mentioning "good" is to distinguish the corresponding ones similar to tasting, good and without outflows are included together. Mentioning "with outflows" is to

It is focused on that. The so-called "non-lower ground contaminated objects" are because the lower ground is not completely pacified, and because those are extremely pacified. Precisely because of this, it is said that "completely transcended in all aspects," but not for the dhyanas, because the dhyanas do not transcend the object of focus, because they are all-encompassing. The uncontaminated object of focus is not only one's own ground and the upper ground, but also the lower ground. Moreover, since these two ways are in accordance with the Dharma and the subsequent knowledge aspects, therefore it is said that "all subsequent knowledge aspects are in accordance." The so-called "also not in accordance with the Dharma knowledge aspect" is because, focusing on one's own antidote, only the path in accordance with the subsequent knowledge aspect is their object of focus, not in accordance with the Dharma knowledge aspect. Are there no antidotes in accordance with the Dharma knowledge aspect? Although there are, not all of them are. Because it is said indiscriminately that "the uncontaminated object of focus," therefore there will also be the fault of the cessation of the lower ground, therefore it is said that "also not the cessation of the lower ground," because it is focused on it from the perspective of what is to be negated. Precisely because the main practice is prevented, the "immediate paths of the near attainment, etc." will be widely produced, and the object of focus of those near attainments that are immediate paths is the lower ground. Among them, the object of focus of the immediate paths of the near attainment of the sphere of infinite space is the fourth dhyana, and up to the immediate paths of the near attainment of the peak of existence is the sphere of nothingness. The so-called "from these three ways" refers to dhyana and the formless and uncontaminated, and for those with afflictions, whichever uncontaminated exists, it eliminates afflictions in their respective ways. With which uncontaminated does it eliminate? It is the main practice, because it will be explained that "also with near attainment purification" is specifically excluded. The so-called "if even the purified one does not eliminate, then what is the need for the observation of the afflicted one" is because one is defiled. Because of being free from attachment, the lower ground is also not.
