If it is thought to be because of clarity, then aquatic beings will increase, and things that do not appear like aquatic beings will also become formless. If it is said that it is because of clarity, is it because the form is clear that those things have some form, but not because of their small size? Then the intermediate state and the beings in the form realm will also become like that, because those beings, because of their clarity, can move without obstruction even through mountains of vajra nature, so those beings will also become formless. If it is said that there is nothing more clear than whom, then the form of beings in the desire realm is clearer than that of beings in the form realm, and beings in the form realm are clearer than beings in the formless realm, and there is nothing more clear than that. Therefore, only those formless realm beings are, but not the intermediate state and the form realm beings, then only the peak of existence is the formless realm, but not the three realms such as the sphere of infinite space, because there is no more clear form than that. Why? Because just like samadhi, birth is also particularly superior. Just as the samadhi of the sphere of infinite space and so on exists with a very superior difference, the difference in those births must also be acknowledged. Therefore, only the form of the peak of existence is the most clear, so it will become the formless realm, but not the remaining three realms such as the sphere of infinite space. If the form born in the formless realm

What examples are there? If it is said that "the names of the two correspond to their meaning," it refers to the desire realm and the form realm. Differentiated by the merits of desire, it is the desire realm; differentiated by form, it is the form realm. If it is said that "it is not of the formless realm," it means that the name of the formless realm does not correspond to its meaning. Then what is it? Is it arbitrary? If asked in this way, then what reason is there? The reason is प्रमाण (Tshad ma, 量, प्रमाण), which is अनुमान (Rjes su dpag pa, अनु, अनु), inference. Saying "the names of the two correspond to their meaning, but not of the formless realm" refers to this. If this intention is understood from scripture or inference, then in the formless realm, inference about things with form is not seen, and the complete understanding of the scripture is that if life and warmth are mixed, it will be explained in detail. The sutra says, "O venerable Great Belly King, whatever is life, and whatever is warmth, these dharmas are mixed." Therefore, where there is life, there is also warmth. Like "two reeds," and so on. The sutra says, "O venerable Shariputra, for example, two reeds stand upright in the sky, and they rely on each other, supporting each other, and if one of them is removed, the other will fall. If the second one is removed, the other will also fall. O venerable Shariputra, similarly, name and form also rely on each other, supporting each other, and exist," this is a detailed explanation. Because there is name, there must be form in the formless realm, because without relying on form, a single name cannot exist. In the sutra on dependent origination, it is said, "Consciousness is the condition for name and form." Therefore, in the moment of rebirth in the formless realm, there is consciousness, and the condition for consciousness is name, which must occur simultaneously, because consciousness is the condition for name and form. Other than between the formations, it will be explained in detail. The sutra says, "Monks, consciousness approaches form, focuses on form, and relies on form."

It is extensively stated that "it abides." Monks, if someone says, 'I am different from form, different from feeling, different from perception, different from formation, consciousness goes, comes, or is born,' then his words are just words." It is extensively stated that from that scripture, it is also known that form does not exist in the formless realms, because the scripture itself is to be studied. However, the term "all" refers to practicing in the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm. The meaning here is: life, warmth, and consciousness, when the body desires these, and after abandoning them, what remains at that time is like a mindless piece of wood. It is said in the scripture that this is only said considering the time of practicing in the desire realm. In the formless realm, since there is no body, how can there be talk of the destruction of the body? In the form realm, although there is form, the destruction of the body is not evident. It is also said that name and form are mutually dependent, which is clearly said only considering the practice in the desire and form realms. If both exist, mutual dependence is possible, but in the formless realm, only mind and mental factors are mutually dependent, because there is no form. It is also said that name and form are conditioned by consciousness, because name and form are conditioned by consciousness, so this is name and form conditioned by consciousness. Because the consciousness that practices in the formless realm is only the condition for name, not for form. The so-called negation of the coming and going of consciousness refers to the continuity from the previous life to the intermediate state, which is coming. Similarly, the birth from this life to the next life is going. The so-called "whether all" refers to form, feeling, perception, and formation. The so-called negation is the negation of the coming and going of consciousness. However, the so-called "any one" refers to any one of form, etc. We say that if all of these are absent, then it is negation, but if there are three, then it is the coming and going of consciousness, and so on.
