Therefore, one cannot completely remove all afflictions, and therefore temporarily abandons them. Here, because one cannot guard against what is to be abandoned by seeing, greed and the like are mentioned. Not doing afflictions is synonymous with not doing afflictions. Conventional wisdom refers to the future object to be abandoned by the practice of others' continuums, therefore, the uncontaminated wisdom that enters in this way does not exist. From the samadhi without afflictions, without arising, I will see myself, and this person's greed will arise. This person's hatred and this person's pride, and this person's carelessness will arise, and in whatever way one wants to manifest, in that way, after arising from that samadhi, one also practices accordingly. Called the limit of meditation, it is only the ground of the fourth dhyana because it is contrary to the cause of suffering, and the fourth dhyana is the most excellent of the easy paths. It is of the nature of immovability, because it has entered into removing the afflictions of others' continuums. It is not of other Arhats, which means it is not of those liberated in time. From one's own continuum as well, it means that at the time of complete degeneration, there is no mastery of samadhi, therefore it is called having a basis, which refers to greed and the like to be abandoned by practice. How does one focus on future afflictions? Therefore, it is said that in order to prevent those others from generating afflictions, it is because of entering in this way. Why does one only focus on those with a basis? Therefore, the afflictions without a basis are extensively described. Afflictions without a basis are those to be abandoned by seeing, because the view of the aggregates and so on are focused on all realms and grounds, they cannot be prevented. Wishful knowledge is also the same, without afflictions, just as it is said in one's own nature and ground, continuum and support, so is conventional wisdom, this is its entire object, this is the difference, because wishful knowledge enters into everything. Wishful knowledge is

Saying "those without form cannot know directly" is because, knowing by aspiration is the realm of the fourth dhyana. Direct knowledge has as its object the realm of itself and lower realms. It should also be said that knowing by aspiration is the same as direct knowledge. In saying "from the difference of similar causes and conduct," similar causes refer to the inferior and even more inferior. Conduct refers to abiding in the samadhi of shamatha and vipashyana. Being reborn in the desire realm and form realm after dying from the formless realm is due to the difference of similar causes. Being reborn in any formless realm after dying from here is due to the difference of conduct. Thus, the result can infer the cause, and the cause can also infer the result, which is what is to be expressed. Here, the example is like a field. For example, a field can know the fruit, the fruit can know the seed, and the seed can know the fruit, and it is the same here. Saying "previously sent aspiration" means previously making a vow. Saying "by aspiration" means "relying on." To avoid being too extreme, it is said "how much it has become in the realm of that samadhi." Regarding the object, ground, and the difference of one's own nature of these, the word "difference" is connected to the difference of the object, the difference of the ground, and the difference of the nature, respectively. "Unobstructed" means unable to be obstructed, which is a synonym for "non-obstruction." Truly understanding each dharma is without obstruction to the collection of names, words, and letters. These three are held in order to grasp what is to be known, so they are called dharmas. Truly understanding each meaning is the wisdom without obstruction to the ultimate meaning of all dharmas, which means knowing the self-characteristic and the general characteristic. Truly understanding each definitive word is without obstruction to the expression of speech, which is a synonym for knowing the expression of signs, time, and function, etc. Reason unobstructed, manifest expression, wherein reason is related to meaning. Unobstructed is without obstruction. Manifest expression is saying that, that thing is reason unobstructed, manifest expression itself. In short
