As it is said, it means: 'Alas! When I attained complete and perfect enlightenment, these dharmas were not completely and perfectly enlightened.' Thus, whether it be a renunciate or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, no one can refute or argue with me with reasons that are in accordance with the Dharma. Thus, since I have not seen any valid reason, I have attained happiness, become fearless, and abide in the attainment of fearlessness. The supreme of the herd roars the great roar, and turns the wheel of Brahma. Truly proclaiming the lion's roar within the wheel, this is the first fearlessness. Alas! My defilements are exhausted, these defilements are not exhausted.' Thus, renunciates or Brahmins, etc., as previously stated. 'Here, if someone says that the obstructive dharmas I have spoken of for the hearers are not obstructive,' thus, renunciates, etc., as previously stated. 'Here, I have spoken of the path of definite departure for the hearers, and definite departure is for the sake of completely exhausting suffering, and not for the sake of exhausting suffering.' Thus, renunciates or Brahmins, etc., as previously stated. This is the fourth fearlessness. Thus it is said. How is the power of knowing what is and is not the case? That is, how is the power of knowing what is and is not the case, encompassed by the ten kinds of knowledge and all the grounds? Alas! I have attained complete and perfect enlightenment.' This fearlessness is also the same as that. Thus, it should be combined by dividing the dharmas into ten kinds, just as it is. The so-called power of knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements, that is, how is it encompassed by six or ten kinds of knowledge, and eleven grounds? Alas! My defilements are exhausted.' This fearlessness is also the same as that. Here too, it should be like that In general, the dharmas are divided into six or ten kinds of knowledge, and eleven grounds are combined. The power of knowing that actions are one's own, how is it encompassed by eight kinds of knowledge and all the grounds, except for knowing cessation and the path? The obstructive dharmas that I have spoken of for the hearers are also the same as that. Here too, it should be like that in general, the dharmas

The pages should be separated and glued together. The power of knowing the path to go everywhere is the knowledge of knowing ten or nine kinds of knowledge. And as it exists in all places, as I have said, the definitive path of departure for the Hearers, this fearlessness should also be understood in the same way. These are four aspects. The first two speak of the wisdom of its own nature and the perfection of abandonment and realization. The latter two speak of the perfection of benefiting others, in order to prevent the untrue path and to show the true path. How is it that knowledge itself is fearlessness? The Vaibhashikas say that fearlessness is non-fear, and these also make one fearless, so knowledge is fearlessness. The knowledge made by the teacher can be fearlessness, but knowledge itself is not. Because fearlessness is non-fear, and non-fear itself is also freedom from fear, and this is from knowledge, so knowledge itself is not. The cause of not being overwhelmed is the power of knowing the unobstructed path. The cause of not shrinking back is fearlessness. How is it that one is not suppressed by others, that is power. How is it that one suppresses others, that is fearlessness. Others say that power is courage itself, and fearlessness is stability itself. The functions of these two are different, the meaning of power is the meaning of accomplishing what is desired. The meaning of fearlessness is the meaning of not shrinking back. Mindfulness is the abiding included in the aspects of enlightenment. The difference of retinue is the difference of retinue. As it is said in the sutra, monks, the teacher with loving-kindness, compassion, and the desire for benefit, teaches the Hearers, saying: 'This will benefit you, this will bring you happiness, this will benefit and bring you happiness.' They listen, listen, abide with the mind of omniscience, practice the Dharma that accords with the Dharma, and do not contradict the teacher's teachings, then

The Tathagata will also not be pleased, nor will he be happy, nor will he be upset. To this, the Tathagata abides in equanimity with mindfulness and awareness. This is what those who rely on the noble ones do. If the noble ones rely on these, this is the first mindfulness abiding that is suitable to be shown to the Sangha. Furthermore, monks, compassion is as before. Conversely, those Shravakas do not listen to him, which is also as before. Therefore, the Tathagata will also not be distressed, nor will he be impatient, nor will he be angry, nor will he be displeased. To this, the Tathagata abides in equanimity with mindfulness and awareness, which is the second mindfulness abiding. Furthermore, monks, here, the teacher has compassion, which is as before. Some Shravakas listen to him, listen, pay attention, practice the Dharma in accordance with the Dharma, and do not contradict the teacher's teachings. Some do not listen, do not listen, until they contradict the teacher's teachings. Therefore, the Tathagata will not be pleased, nor will he be happy, nor will he be upset, nor will he be distressed, nor will he be impatient, nor will he be angry. To this, the Tathagata abides in equanimity with mindfulness and awareness.
