It is so. It is also seen in the sutras that all dharmas are not objects in a single moment. It is said: Whether it is a śrāmaṇa or a brahmin, it is impossible for anyone to know or see everything all at once. This is because it is based on annihilation. The so-called "This is because it is based on annihilation" means that the paths of uninterruptedness and liberation are based on the lower and upper grounds respectively in order. The objects of the paths of application and distinction are also only one ground each, not all. Whatever is included in the path of application corresponding to the part of determination, its object is the desire realm, not the form realm and the formless realm. Similarly, whatever is the form realm and the formless realm, its object is not the desire realm. Similarly, the objects included in the impure, immeasurable, and victorious birthplaces, etc., as well as refutation and distinction, are only the desire realm, not other realms. If it is not like this, it means that if it is based on all grounds, then one will be free from attachment from all grounds at once, not only to the lower ground, but also to the upper and lower grounds. Not only does an ordinary person have one wisdom free from attachment, but also a noble person and, in the first moment of non-outflow, a person with attachment has one wisdom. The reason for specifically saying a person with attachment is that a person free from attachment has the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of suffering, and has the wisdom of knowing the minds of others. The first moment of non-outflow means that forbearance is not the nature of wisdom, so it only has one conventional wisdom. The second has three types, which means that the Dharma-wisdom of suffering itself is divided into two types: Dharma-wisdom and suffering-wisdom, respectively because it only realizes the Dharma, and because it is the object of suffering. The four each have increase, which means that Dharma-wisdom and suffering-wisdom have been completely counted, which are subsequent knowledge, origin, cessation, and path.

Because it is necessary to fully enumerate the knowledges, therefore, "four" and so on are mentioned. The so-called "those who possess Dharma-knowledge on the path possess seven" means possessing the conventional and the Dharma, as well as subsequent knowledges, and the four such as suffering. Those who possess subsequent knowledge on the path also possess these same ones, because the subject of subsequent knowledge and path-knowledge has already been counted. If one is free from desire, then "at all times" refers to the fifteen moments of the path of seeing, possessing mundane knowledge of others' minds, and being even more superior. In this way, in the first moment of the uncontaminated, one possesses both the conventional and the knowledge of others' minds, and the second moment possesses four, which should be fully and detailedly explained. Subsequent knowledge on the path also possesses uncontaminated knowledge of others' minds, because it obtains the state of non-returner and the knowledge of others' minds, because subsequent knowledge on the path is the path of cultivation and is free from desire. Furthermore, the question arises, "In what state does one obtain how many knowledges?" What is meant by "obtaining"? The so-called "obtaining by relying" and "obtaining by realizing" refer to being accustomed to virtuous Dharma and possessing perfect mastery, the characteristics of which will also be explained. How do those who are born obtain what is unborn? If the forbearance of Dharma-knowledge of suffering arises, then this forbearance will also obtain the four aspects of that future. If Dharma-knowledge of suffering arises, then it will also obtain the four aspects of that future. If the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of suffering arises, then it will also obtain the same future, but not a different one, nor one with a different truth as its object; the same applies to all. Because on the path of cultivation, one can also obtain unequal aspects of knowledge, that is why it is said. Why is it said that on the path of seeing, one can only obtain similar aspects of knowledge? The statement "Just as one obtains on the path of cultivation, one cannot obtain equal and unequal aspects of knowledge" is an incomplete statement. Because forbearance does not exist on the path of cultivation, forbearance is not mentioned, only knowledge is examined.
