Furthermore, knowing the nine uncontaminated ones, the knowledge of exhaustion and non-arising that focuses on the truths of suffering and its origin, is that I have fully understood suffering, and there is no need to fully understand it again. Having abandoned the origin, there is no need to abandon it again, which is aimed at the conventional knowledge that includes suffering and its origin. If distinguished, then the object of what is included by the Dharma-knowledge is not the subsequent knowledge, and what is included by the subsequent knowledge is not the Dharma-knowledge. For conditioned dharmas, there should be eight kinds, that is, the dharmas associated with desire are of two kinds, namely, associated and non-associated. Similarly, what is associated with form is also of two kinds, and what is associated with the formless is also of two kinds. The uncontaminated is also of two kinds, namely, associated and non-associated. With the distinction of virtue and non-indicated, virtue is the cessation of separate examination, and it is virtuous for the sake of the supreme liberation. Because it will be said: Liberation is virtuous for the sake of the supreme meaning. Non-indicated is space, not the cessation of separate examination, non-indicated is stable. Because it will be said: Non-indicated is stable. Therefore, the object of conventional knowledge is all ten dharmas, because it will be said: The conventional realm is all. Dharma-knowledge has five, that is, those that are associated and non-associated in the desire realm, focusing on suffering and its origin. Consistent with the aspect of Dharma-knowledge, what focuses on the truth of the path is the uncontaminated associated and non-associated. What focuses on the truth of cessation is the unconditioned virtue, because the unconditioned non-indicated is not included by the truth, so that is not the object of uncontaminated knowledge. Operating in the form and formless realms and uncontaminated, six, this is in terms of the distinction between associated and non-associated. The unconditioned virtue is also. Six, that is, those operating in the desire, form, and formless realms, this refers to each in terms of the distinction between associated and non-associated. Cessation-knowledge is one, that is

Because it always aims at cessation by examining each individually. The statement "Path knowledge is twofold" refers to those that are in accordance with the uncontaminated, both those that are in accordance and those that are not. The statement "Those who practice in the desire realm and the form realm, and those who are in accordance with the uncontaminated" refers to: actions that do not possess knowledge of others' minds, or because they do not have the formless realm as their object. The statement "The objects of the knowledge of exhaustion and the knowledge of non-arising are nine dharmas" means that the objects of the knowledge of exhaustion and the knowledge of non-arising are nine dharmas, because each one aims at the truths such as suffering in the three realms. The statement "Except for the unconditioned and the unspecified" means that it is excluded because it is not included in the truth, and because the knowledge of exhaustion and the knowledge of non-arising are objects of truth. The statement "Those co-emergent dharmas" refers to: feelings and other mental events that arise from the mind, and their attainment, birth, and so on. They do not grasp their own essence. Why do they not grasp their own essence? Because the object and the subject are different. The object is different from the subject, because it is contradictory to act on one's own nature, just as the tip of a finger and the edge of a sword cannot touch or cut themselves. The Abhidharma masters say: If something is missing, then something will not arise, that is its cause, but it is not that things will not arise because their own essence is missing, because their own essence is always present, so it is not the cause itself. If mind and mental events are not the objects of their own essence, then will they become mutual objects? The answer is: they are not mutual objects, because the object is the same. Mind and mental events are because the object is the same, if they become mutual objects, then the sameness of the object will be lost. If that is the case, then one will grasp one's own aggregates and non-associated formations, because there is no object and the object and subject are different? Therefore, it is said "because it is very close", and it is not grasping non-associated formations, because it is very close, one cannot see the eye medicine and the eye medicine stick, etc., that are located in the eye.
