Because it possesses "nowness," that is the meaning. The so-called "accomplishment by the meaning of accomplishment" is by the meaning of truly going. The so-called "because it causes to pass away very truly, it necessarily produces" is because there is a saying that "decay and death do not exist from the fruit." The necessity of necessarily arising is necessarily producing, like the feast of the senses. The so-called "because it is not permanent, it is impermanent" is that it was previously said to be impermanent because it did not exist before, but now it shows that it is impermanent because it is destroyed. The so-called "because it has become like a burden" is the meaning of having become like a burden. That suffering being is squeezed and oppressed, that is its definition. The so-called "because there is no doing as one wishes" is because this has the nature of doing as one wishes, so it is doing as one wishes. Not doing as one wishes is not doing as one wishes. This meaning is also stated in the sutras: "Monks, if form were mine, form would cause harm to itself," and so on, extensively explained. The so-called "by the way of coming is the cause" is because it comes from this, so it is the cause, that is, because it arises from this, that is its definition. The so-called "by the way of arising is the arising" is because it matures and arises from the future time itself. The so-called "by the way of increasing is increasing" is like the continuous increase of seeds, sprouts, leaves, and so on. The so-called "by the meaning of each following is the condition" is that it is the main thing for the action of producing. It will be shown as the definition of "by the meaning of following along." The so-called "because there is no connection, because the connection is broken, it is cessation" is that there is no connection with later suffering, and it is for the sake of cutting off previous suffering. The so-called "because it is separated from the three characteristics of conditioned phenomena" is because it is separated from the very change that is other than arising, ceasing, and abiding. The so-called "because of goodness, it is excellent" is because it is good for the sake of excellent liberation. The so-called "because it is the supreme of trustworthiness, it necessarily arises"

That which is called "ground" means that because all suffering is completely ceased, it is supremely blissful; and because there is nothing else more reliable than this. That which is called "the path that is incompatible with the evil path" means that it is for the sake of seeking nirvana. That which is called "the reason that is incompatible with non-reason" means that other than that, it is something that appears to be reasonable. That which is called "accomplishing by means of the meaning that does not contradict the city of nirvana" means that it does not contradict entering the city of nirvana and does not deceive. Because it accomplishes by this, it is called accomplishment. Because it is the antidote to all existence, it is said to be "definitely liberating," which means that it is the antidote to the existence of desire, the existence of form, and the existence of formlessness. Worldly things are only the antidote to one aspect. That which is called "should be spoken as desired" means that it is what the teacher said. That which is called "because it is the nature of arising and ceasing" means that because it does not exist before or after obtaining oneself, this is a summary statement. That which is called "because it has become incompatible, it is suffering" means that it is merely the suffering of conditioning itself. That which is called "because it is separated from self, it is emptiness" means that it is because it is separated from the inner agent, the person. That which is called "because oneself is not self, it is selflessness" means that whatever is impermanent is suffering. Whatever is suffering is selfless, because there is no characteristic of self. That which is called "having desire as its root" means that from the perspective of the first cause, it has desire as its cause. Here, desire is a synonym for craving. That which is called "arising from desire" means that from the perspective of the proximate cause, it has desire as its cause. That which is called "of the same kind as desire" means that it has desire as its condition. That which is called "born from desire" means that it is from the perspective of the immediately preceding cause. That which is called "merely uttering the sound of 'birth' at the end" means that among the four modes of arising, although 'birth' is uttered as the third mode and dependent origination is uttered as the fourth mode, what is shown in the sutra is that the word 'birth,' the cause is arising, the condition is birth, should be uttered at the end. Furthermore, regarding desire
