I am pure. Small is a little. Completely purified is pure. Here, it is intended that the roots of virtue are completely pure, because the nature of virtue is pure. Therefore, if that is the case, then it will be shown that the root of virtue is relied upon by small purity. Becoming great is because it is the opposite of that, called virtue, which means it is relied upon by great complete purity. Furthermore, in order, because of the root and, value and retinue and followers, and small and great power, it is also small and great. To show that, it is said that the afflicted one is rooted in the two roots of non-virtue. The afflicted one is because attachment and hatred are not equally possessed, so it is rooted in either of them and the root of ignorance and non-virtue. Virtue is based on the three roots of virtue, which means non-attachment, non-hatred, and non-ignorance, so as not to confuse each other. Because it is not to be accomplished by effort, it means that afflictions also arise against one's will. Because it is to be accomplished by a large gathering, it means that it is to be accomplished by the noble Dharma and proper attention and the accomplishment of meaning, and so on. The afflicted one is because the future similar to it cannot be obtained, which means that because the future similar to it cannot be obtained, because from the point of view of reason, the virtuous Dharma of fabrication can be obtained. It is said to be accompanied by the three aggregates, which means the aggregates of feeling, perception, and formation. It is not accompanied by the aggregate of consciousness, because it is unreasonable for consciousness itself to be the retinue of consciousness. Virtue has many retinues, which means that because the future similar to it can be obtained and is clearly related. It is said to be accompanied by the four aggregates, which means form, feeling, perception, and formation, that is, meditation and, without outflows.

The form of guarding follows the mind. It is also said that afflictions are weak. If it is said that virtue, however, is not weak because a single moment of wrong view can destroy the five aggregates of virtue such as discipline, the answer is that it is not annihilation, because it can still connect. Therefore, it is said that it can be permanently destroyed, because it will not completely regress from the path of seeing. Therefore, also, in terms of root, value, retinue, followers, and strength, the afflictions are small, and the great is virtue. The so-called "because it is its antidote" means that it is the antidote to agitation. The so-called "not completely pacified" means that it is an affliction because it is associated with agitation. Completely pacified is virtue. The so-called "because it is its antidote" means that it is the antidote to distraction. The so-called "not cultivated by the meditation of attainment and reliance" means that afflictions have no future attainment and are not worthy of reliance, because it is said in the scriptures that "attainment and reliance refer to the attainment of conditioned virtue." The so-called "cultivation" means that it is cultivated by those two, that is virtue, which is the meaning of "cultivated by the meditation of attainment and reliance." The so-called "liberation by self-nature and continuum liberation" means that afflictions are not liberated by self-nature liberation because they are associated with afflictions, and they are not liberated by continuum liberation because they arise in the continuums of individual ordinary beings. The so-called "liberation is because those two are liberated" means that it is virtue, which is the concluding statement of "liberation by self-nature and continuum liberation," virtue is liberated by self-nature liberation because it is not associated with afflictions, and it is also liberated by continuum liberation because it arises in the continuums of individual ordinary virtuous people and learners and non-learners.

Yes. Being called co-emergent with dullness and sleep means corresponding similarly with dullness and sleep. Being called co-emergent with all inner obstructions, this explains that it does not correspond similarly with insight. Being called subsequently distracted, this explains that it is mental scattering. The mind itself is also completely gathered, this is extensively explained. If for that which is co-emergent with dullness and sleep, it is called completely gathered, then it becomes both corresponding similarly with afflictive sleep. Because it itself corresponds similarly with sleep, therefore it is completely gathered, and corresponding similarly with afflictions such as desire, therefore it also becomes subsequently distracted. Because it is not determined that afflictive sleep and co-emergence are subsequently distracted. Being co-emergent with sleep, whether it is afflictive or non-afflictive, it is determined to be completely gathered. If it is said to contradict the treatises, then how is it? The mind is completely gathered, knowing it as it is. Knowing the knowing of it has four types, namely, knowing the Dharma, subsequent knowing, conventional knowing, and path knowing. Contradicting the treatises is nonsense. Contradicting the sutras is not so, the treatises are within the jurisdiction of the sutras, but the sutras are not within the jurisdiction of the treatises, because they do not rely on the treatises. Because it is also said that the nature is undifferentiated. Because all of that is said to be afflictive, therefore afflictiveness itself is the undifferentiated nature. Afflictiveness itself is because it corresponds similarly with many afflictive grounds. Completely gathered and well-grasped, and so on. The word "and so on" includes greatness and non-agitation, as well as tranquility, equipoise, cultivation, and liberation. If asked: How are they undifferentiated in nature? Because it is said that "everything is virtuous," therefore virtue itself is the reason for their undifferentiated nature. That is because of virtuous
