It is also explained. Similarly, for a person, right view and right knowledge are explained as branches. Or, it is stated in relation to the treatise. In the treatise, the term "all tolerances" also appears, the term "all knowledges" also appears, the term "right view" also appears, and the term "right knowledge" also appears. Since this is an explanation of the condensed treatise, therefore, it should be examined: Is it tolerance but not knowledge? Is it right knowledge but not right view? Like this, for those who have eight tolerances, eight knowledges, right view, and right knowledge, like this to make distinctions, are some wisdoms only tolerance but not knowledge, or only knowledge but not tolerance? Similarly, is it only view but not knowledge, or only knowledge but not view? It will be explained. Are some wisdoms only tolerance but not knowledge? For what is said and so on, in order to show that "there is," it is said that "immaculate tolerance is not knowledge." By distinguishing it as "immaculate," it will be shown that tolerances with defilements are knowledge. Because the meaning of knowledge is the meaning of certainty, and tolerance is not certain, therefore it is not knowledge. How is it uncertain? It is explained in detail as "what is to be abandoned by it." "What is abandoned by it" means what is to be abandoned by tolerance. As it is said in the scripture: The path of cessation, completely abandons its obscurations. Therefore, since tolerance only arises in the continuum that is obtained and related to subtle doubt that is to be abandoned by it, therefore they have not abandoned doubt. And for the wisdom that has abandoned doubt, it is called knowledge, therefore tolerance is not knowledge. Why is it said "what is to be abandoned by it"? In order to show that suffering dharma knowledge and so on are knowledge itself. If it is only said "because subtle doubt has not been abandoned," then in that case, only the subsequent knowledge of the path will become knowledge, but the previous seven knowledges will not become knowledge, because subtle doubt has not been abandoned. Those are correct.

The phrase "because it has the nature of investigation" means that it is definitely the nature of another approximation. The phrase "because there is no accurate investigation and because it has the intention of searching everywhere" means that the two, knowing exhaustion and non-arising, do not make the truths accurately investigated, nor do they make them closely investigated, but because the work has been done, as seen, I have completely known all sufferings, and there is nothing more to be known, etc., it is only separate attention. It is also not the case that the truths are searched everywhere by the aspects of impermanence, etc., because the fruit is already complete. Intention is what has been thought. Therefore, those two are not the nature of seeing. The phrase "other than that, the two noble wisdoms" refers to the period from the Dharma-knowledge of suffering to the subsequent knowledge of the path. It is also entered into close investigation, and it has also abandoned the hesitation of its object, therefore, because of accurate investigation and because of certainty, both are accomplished. Briefly, this is how the uncontaminated wisdom is distinguished. The phrase "the other is knowledge" is made to be known that it is not only seeing, not that this is not seeing. All worldly wisdom is knowledge, this is a general statement, and what is made as a specific statement for this general statement is the phrase "six are also seeing." The word "also" means that it is also knowledge. The phrase "five views" refers to the view of the aggregation of destruction, etc. The so-called worldly right view is to view cause and effect, etc., as existing. The summary of this is this: the six types of worldly wisdom are seeing and knowing, and all worldly things other than that are only knowing and not seeing. Why? Because they have not entered into the aspect of accurate investigation. How are attachment, etc., and those that are similarly associated with them, not the aspect of accurate investigation? They mostly turn outward and follow the aspects of attachment, etc. Attachment, etc., are extremely rejected there.
