It is said that such dharmas become cool and are abandoned. What is meant by "as long as the conduct is not fully understood"? It refers to conduct such as begging for alms. Therefore, it is said in the context of the stage of learning. What is meant by "those are preliminary" is that the type of learning is preceded by ordinary beings, and the type of non-learning is preceded by learning. It is said that the types of learners and non-learners transform through taming the senses. If it is said that the senses transform in all those who abide on the paths of seeing, meditation, and non-learning, then that is too much. Therefore, it is also said that "there is no transformation in seeing." What is meant by "because combination is impossible" is because of going quickly and engaging in other activities, so there is no leisure. Engaging in other activities means engaging in the realization of truth. Some say "in the stage of faith and aspiration," which is synonymous with "on the path of meditation." Here, the transformation of the senses of the non-learner is not discussed because it has already been discussed above. The sutra extensively states, "Ananda, I say that even for an arhat, gain and respect cause obstacles," which is from that sutra. Abiding happily in the present dharma, arising from higher mind, is the four dhyanas. Because the faculties are sharp, thinking that it is impossible to completely degenerate, the question is asked, "How is it that one is of unchanging nature?" This is extensively explained. For the Buddha, there is only degeneration from close association; there is no degeneration from what has been obtained or not obtained. When engaging in the work of taming beings, the Buddha does not manifest even the excellent dharmas that have been attained. What is meant by "for one of unchanging nature, that" is degeneration from close association, because the mind is distracted by other activities and does not manifest dhyana and so on. What is meant by "because the dharma of a special person has not been obtained" is that the qualities possessed by the Buddha and pratyekabuddha have not been obtained. For other arhats, there is also degeneration from what has been obtained; for this, the word "also" is

There are also cases of complete degeneration after attainment and close association, which is what is to be said. All liberation, unpolluted, is immovable, which is to say, what is the connection here? Previously, complete degeneration was mentioned, because it is not connected with time, so it was said, "The liberation of liberation, unpolluted, is immovable." If all liberation, unpolluted, is immovable, why is only one established as the nature of immovability? Therefore, how to establish it as the nature of immovability, just as that has already been said, it was said: For those who, because of their sharp faculties, abide in bliss in the present life, those who do not completely degenerate are established as the nature of immovability. It is not permissible to argue, this is based on the Sutra, if so, how can the nature of immovability, abiding in bliss in the present life, completely degenerate? This is what is said. How is it not permissible to argue? Because all Arhats' mind liberation is immovable, therefore it is immovable, it is not desired to degenerate from that, some meditations will completely degenerate, while others will not, therefore this is not permissible to argue. Completely degenerating from being free from desire from the three realms, because they possess afflictions, they will definitely be reborn, and pure conduct is also said to be a place of trust, and it is asked again, what if one degenerates from the fruit of Arhatship? That does not exist, which is to say, there is no more rebirth. If one possesses afflictions, how can one not be reborn? Like this, there is no death from degenerating from the fruit, this situation will occur, after completely degenerating, it will not last long. Small means the same as unclear and weak. If it is not like that, pure conduct will not be trustworthy, if degenerating from the fruit of Arhatship will also be reborn, then the phrase "pure conduct is well practiced here" will not be trustworthy. Just like a strong wrestler will not fall to the ground, for example, even if a strong wrestler falls, because his strength has grasped himself, he will not fall to the ground, it is the same as that.
