Thus it is. Because the karma experienced in other instances will also be different, because the arising of karma experienced is very numerous. These are called non-returners because of afflictions and nine types of faculties. Not mentioning karma is because it is not pervasive, because the difference between the first two triads is not a difference of karma. If there are nine types of non-returners due to the difference of afflictions and faculties, then it will be extensively explained in the sutras, such as "O monks, I will declare the seven kinds of entries of noble beings, and also complete parinirvana without taking." What are the seven? Three complete parinirvanas in the intermediate state, three complete parinirvanas after birth, and upward rebirth. Therefore, without separating upward rebirth, it is extensively explained. Also, why are two types of non-returners separated and explained, while the third type is not separated and explained? Because its differences are very numerous, it is not separated because it will be confusing. That is because it is not mixed with meditative frogs, and because it is close to the one realm and the two realms, and because it is separated into jumping and so on, because it is separated by very many differences, so it is not separated. In the Abhidharma, it is explained separately, because it is well distinguished by characteristics. Are other learners not? The meaning of "not" is that stream-enterers and once-returners are not. Birth, going, and future life are synonyms. These refer to non-returners, who only enter into excellent virtuous karma, because they do not commit killing and so on. They do not enter into non-excellent non-virtuous karma, because they do not commit non-celibacy and so on. Non-celibacy and so on are done with non-virtuous minds. Those who are free from desire only enter into excellence because they have abandoned non-virtue, and do not enter into non-excellence. The term "no return" means that after being born in any realm, or because they will never return there. As it is said, this is not found elsewhere, it is called stream-enterer.

And there is no one-returner. Because those two do not commit acts such as killing, and commit acts such as non-celibacy, therefore they enter into good and non-good, and come from the path of the gods to the path of humans, therefore, these are not holy beings without names. Therefore, the word "also" is spoken to others as well, referring to those who have entered the stream and those who return once. The so-called five sins, the five sins refer to killing, taking what is not given, engaging in sexual misconduct, lying, and drinking alcohol. The so-called "almost abandoning afflictions and non-virtue," the so-called "almost" refers to abandoning all that is to be abandoned by seeing, and abandoning some of what is to be abandoned by cultivation in the desire realm. The so-called without names for whom, just like those who have entered the stream and those who return once, it is not in another way, so what is it? Because they have obtained the precepts of never committing all sins, and have abandoned all non-virtue to be abandoned by seeing in the three realms, and have abandoned all nine categories of what is to be abandoned by cultivation in the desire realm, therefore, they are holy beings without names. This sutra is about non-returners, not about other learners. Why do non-returners also have this distinction when their lifespan is complete? For example, completely attaining nirvana in the intermediate state, and so on. The so-called non-returner whose lifespan is complete refers to obtaining the fruit of entering the stream or returning once in the first part, and obtaining the fruit of non-returning in the second life, because the desire realm has many faults, and is also afflicted by the suffering of existence, causing much weariness, so they completely attain nirvana there. "If I finally decline, where will I be born below" what is going on? The noble one whose lifespan is complete in the desire realm also goes to other realms, that is, becoming a stream-enterer among the gods, coming to humans and completely
