Without realizing the truth of suffering, one should realize the truth of cessation. Without realizing the truth of cessation, one should realize the truth of the path. If one says this, one should say, "Do not say that." Why? Because without realizing the noble truth of suffering, it is impossible to realize the noble truth of the origin, there is no opportunity. From "This is impossible" to "This is impossible" is as before. Up to "This is possible" is also as before. Householder, for example, if someone says, "I will not put a stake in the foundation of a house or a large building, but I will put it in the wall. I will not put it in the wall, but I will put it on the flat roof. I will not put it on the flat roof, but I will put it on the eaves," if he says this, one should say, "Do not say that." Why? Because a house or... (content omitted). Householder, just as the helpless food-giver asked, so did the monks ask. The difference in the example is that if a monk says, "I will not step on the first step of a four-story staircase, but I will step on the second step. I will not start from the second step, but I will start from the third to the fourth step," if he says this, one should say, "Do not say that." Venerable Ananda also asked in this way. The difference in the example is that, Ananda, for example, if someone says, "I will not step on the first rung of a four-rung ladder with my foot, but I will step on the second rung," from "step" to "climb to the top of the building," if he says this, one should say, "Do not say that." (content omitted) Similarly, Ananda, if someone says, "I have not realized the noble truth of suffering..." from "This is impossible" (content omitted). These are the three sutras. If someone has no aversion to suffering... (content omitted), if one does not want to realize one truth, how should one guide the sutra? Buddha refers to the Dharma of No More Learning, and those are also the path, the truth of the path.

If it is not directly realized, then one should not have doubts about it. On the other hand, mentioning suffering also holds the origin, and mentioning the Buddha also holds the cessation and the path, because the Buddha is the ultimate distinction of abandonment and wisdom. Doubt and hesitation here are synonyms, like longevity and long life. Therefore, only by ascertaining the truth of suffering can other truths also be ascertained. No, because it is said with consideration of not universally arising and abandoning without being devoured by demons, that is, because it is said with consideration of not universally arising, and because it is said with consideration of abandoning without being devoured by demons, if suffering is completely known, then there is no doubt that universally arises, because it is in the state of great forbearance, that is, because the nature of non-arising is obtained. At that time, it is also abandoned without being devoured by demons, therefore there is no contradiction with the sutras. Those are the six grounds, as previously stated, that is, because there is no inability and special meditative ground. Like the thief coming out and closing the door of the two, that is, the uninterrupted path causes the thief of afflictions to come out by cutting off the door of attainment, and the path of liberation closes the door of attainment by separating the door of present action. If it is said to be the second uninterrupted path, the second uninterrupted path of the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of suffering is the forbearance of knowing the subsequent of suffering, and similarly, the second uninterrupted path of the forbearance of knowing the subsequent of suffering is the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of the origin, and the rest should also be said in the same way. The wisdom that abandons doubt will not arise on that object, that is, for whatever object of the uninterrupted path is desired, such as suffering. What will happen from that? Afterwards, it will definitely not become completely knowing suffering, because the consciousness of that object has not arisen before. That close indication would also become meaningless, for now this is the reasoning.

The Blessed One also said that there is knowledge of the Dharma for suffering, and subsequent knowledge for suffering. Therefore, without a doubt, both must exist. If it is said that forbearance is for abandoning afflictions, then, if forbearance abandons afflictions, but knowledge cannot, and knowledge only holds the attainment of its separation, then, this contradicts the nine pervasive connections that appear in the treatise. The treatise says that there are nine pervasive connections, namely, the four that should be abandoned by knowledge of the Dharma, the four that should be abandoned by subsequent knowledge, and those that should be abandoned by cultivation. No, forbearance is the retinue of knowledge, therefore it is said that there is no contradiction. Forbearance is the retinue of knowledge, therefore, for the class of pervasive connections that should be abandoned by forbearance, it is called what should be abandoned by knowledge. And the class of pervasive connections that should be abandoned by cultivation is mainly what should be abandoned by knowledge alone. For this, an example is given, just as what is done by the king's retinue is called what is done by the king. Saying "in order to see the unseen truth" means that in order to see those who have not seen the four noble truths, it is called the path of seeing. Except for the subsequent knowledge of the path, the remaining fifteen moments are the path of seeing. How to make what is seen habitual? It means that with the forbearance of the subsequent knowledge of the path, seeing the path of seeing with subsequent knowledge, how to make what is seen habitual? Saying "Is what is seen not seen?" refers to the sixteenth moment.
