Just as with an object, happiness also becomes a mind of suffering due to the object. How is it? For small sufferings and so on, a mind of great happiness and so on arises. Small suffering becomes a mind of great happiness, medium becomes a mind of medium happiness, and great becomes a mind of small happiness. Thus, its greatness and smallness also diminish. Therefore, even if not mixed, there are three separate types due to the distinctions of small and so on. In the aftermath of neither happiness nor suffering, because happiness is experienced separately, suffering is not seen, therefore it is said, "When it arises from the distinctions of smell, taste, and touch," and so on. The medium feeling is neither happiness nor suffering, and when in its aftermath, happiness arises from the distinctions of smell and so on, at that time it is small, so where it becomes a mind of happiness, there is no suffering. "When unborn and ceasing" means that if small suffering becomes a mind of happiness, then at the time of being unborn and at the time of ceasing, the mind of happiness will arise very strongly. Why? Because it is separated from all suffering, that is, in the states of being previously and ceasing to exist. In the state of neither happiness nor suffering, when small suffering is unborn and ceasing, this very strong arising of the mind of happiness is not seen either. For manifest happiness of desire, it should be said in the same way. How should it be said? For the small suffering of desire, it will become a mind of happiness of desire. When that small suffering of desire is unborn and ceasing, the mind of happiness will also arise very strongly, this is not seen. "For the small feeling" is a synonym for "for the small suffering." "For the medium, not clear" means having the nature of neither happiness nor suffering. "Because it is said that there is happiness in the third dhyana" means in the first, second, and third dhyanas, if for small suffering there is a mind of happiness,

It is thinking that it will become like that. It is said that there is neither happiness nor suffering above. The reason for saying that there is equanimity in the fourth dhyana and the formless realms is that if (feeling) also becomes medium suffering, who, after knowing medium suffering, would strive to be free from desire from the lower dhyana in order to obtain it? Minchnam, if it is said that form is happiness, connected with happiness, and also connected with mental happiness, therefore form will also be like this, becoming the cause of universal attachment, there is a reason for this. If the cause of happiness is impermanent, so there is no happiness, then the cause of suffering is also impermanent, so there will be no suffering either. Just as the cause of happiness is impermanent, so is the cause of suffering, because the cause of suffering is impermanent. The so-called "only the object" is not so, this does not admit that happiness arises only from the object. Then what is it? Depending on the difference of the body's change, the object is the cause of happiness or the cause of suffering, not just the object. For example, the warm touch meets the state of dependent arising and becomes the cause of happiness, it is not that after meeting it, it is not the cause again, it should be said the same for others. The so-called "also in dhyana" means that the extremely tamed mind abides there as its cause, and those who are in samadhi there for a long time, in general, will not become a painful consciousness. The so-called "what is the antidote to the happiness arising from dhyana" is because there is no suffering in dhyana. The sound of "etc." says this: If the antidote to suffering becomes the consciousness of happiness, Minchnam, if it is said that one form becomes suffering, then such things would not be said, etc. That state of the body is in accordance with the arising of happiness. If it is not like that, then the consciousness of happiness will become more and more, it is said that the shoulder...

What is the meaning of "having lasted a long time after being transferred"? If this feeling arises only from being transferred, then because it has lasted a long time after being transferred, many thoughts of happiness will arise. The same should be understood for the manner of tiring behavior. That is to say, only the happiness that arises from other states will arise there, and it should be explained in detail. Just as sweetness eventually turns sour, for example, molasses, milk, and sugarcane juice, from the state of sweetness, a taste that did not exist before is produced due to the difference in transformation. Similarly, from the state of pleasant feeling, due to the transformation of the body, suffering that did not exist before arises. Regarding the statement "Whatever is the truth of the origin, that is it," the "it" refers to the truth of suffering, not the truth of the origin. Those that become causes are the truth of the origin, as it is said in "The arising and the five aggregates of clinging are the origin and the world of suffering." Therefore, this itself is cause and effect, and there is a distinction only in name, but not in substance. This is also a statement from the sutras. Why? Because in the sutras it is said, what is the truth of suffering? It is the five aggregates of clinging. What is the truth of the origin? It is the craving that is accompanied by joyful desire, being very fond of it and it. Because it is explained differently elsewhere. It is mentioned "because it is the main one," how is it known? Because it is said "from others also others," because other things such as karma are also mentioned in other sutras, such as "karma and craving" and so on are explained in detail. "The next life" refers to the next world. Also, regarding "of the seed" there is a detailed explanation, for example, monks, if five kinds of seeds are not broken, not rotten, not damaged, not damaged by wind and sun, the roots are well established, and there are earth and water elements, then those seeds will grow, flourish, and spread. Monks, in this way, this meaning should be understood.
