It obtains names such as "pleasant" and so forth. Why is that? Because it is an aggregate of happiness and so on. On this very point, the Sutra speaks extensively as the source. The feeling of happiness is also happy at birth, and also happy when it remains; this is its nature. "If it changes, it is suffering" means that those who are not free from desire greatly desire the happiness that will be experienced, so when it changes, sorrow and so on arise, so it is said that if it changes, it is suffering. Suffering is suffering in its own nature, and it is suffering itself, but not because of change. On this very point, the Sutra speaks extensively as the source, that is, the feeling of suffering. "It is also suffering at birth" is because this is its nature. "When it changes, it is happy," because when it changes, it is neither happy nor suffering, but it also appears as if happiness has arisen. Here, the suffering of change is the cessation of happiness, and cessation is short-lived in the desire realm, but it is particularly prominent in the form and formless realms, and it is permanent for those who have exhausted their faults. "It is suffering only by formations" means that it is suffering only by birth. Those formations that will be experienced should also be described like feelings, that is, those formations of happiness that will be experienced are suffering by the suffering of change due to the nature of suffering, just like feelings. Others should also be described in the same way. Because of being uncommon and so on, suffering is dissimilar in its own nature, but not because of change, and happiness is also dissimilar because of change, but not in its own nature. Therefore, the suffering of change and the suffering of suffering are uncommon to happiness and suffering. "All formations are suffering by the suffering of formations" means that all formations, such as pleasant ones, are dissimilar because they are composite things themselves, so they are suffering by the suffering of formations.

If, because suffering itself pervades formations, then would everything contradict all conditioned existence? Therefore, it is said that only the noble ones see those. It is the suffering of formations. Children, tormented by the very suffering of suffering, do not understand those. Therefore, the fault of everything contradicting all conditioned existence does not occur. In order to lead all suffering to cessation, even worldly paths lead to the cessation of suffering, but not to the cessation of all suffering, because it is impossible to be free from desire from the peak of existence. If the path is not suffering, then how do they see the cessation of all conditioned things as peace? Therefore, it is said that when they see nirvana as peace, then also. The mind that sees suffering as peace is suitable, but not for others. Seeing suffering What is meant is objects with outflows; it should be understood that only that can be seen as peace in cessation, not the path. Just as one shows a pile of beans when there are bean pods and so on, in the world, a pile of bean pods contains bean pods, small beans, beans, and so on, but because they are few, the term "pile of bean pods" is applied to bean pods and so on, which is similar to that phenomenon. "Small pleasure wetted by water" means a small amount of pleasure wetted by water. "Again, it is said" refers to the teacher, glorious lotus himself. "Because of the cause of suffering," means that because it is in accordance with the karma that causes suffering to be experienced, it is the cause of suffering. "Because it generates much suffering," refers to the suffering of the labor of seeking a place. "If there is suffering, one desires it," means that if there is hunger and thirst, etc., then the truth of food and drink, etc., is understood by the noble ones as suffering. "The noble ones see it as suffering," regarding this, why? Formations.

Now, it is said that the taste is the same in suffering, meaning that if there are formations and so on, in the suffering of food and drink, it is expressed by the term "the same form." The term "by the characteristic of impermanence" means that it is inconsistent in the form of impermanence. For example, for form and perception, etc., it is also said that "for example, form, perception, thought, etc., are also inconsistent because of impermanence, so just as suffering is viewed, so is the feeling of happiness." How are those as painful as the feeling of suffering? No. Then what is it? It is viewed as suffering because it is inconsistent due to impermanence. The so-called "someone" refers to what was said by the scholar, the resident young lotus. That of it is the form of arising, not the form of suffering. That is only the truth of arising, not the truth of suffering. Those born in form and formlessness also use the word "also" to explain extensively to the noble ones. If the perception of suffering arises because it is the cause of suffering, then this definition is not universal. Precisely for this reason, the word "their" is spoken. The aggregates of those born in form and formlessness of non-returners are not the cause of suffering, because they are completely liberated from suffering there, so the aggregates are not the cause of hell and so on. Therefore, if they do not have the idea of suffering, then that is abandoning desire, and the noble ones will not see the aggregates of the three realms as suffering either. In the sutra it says, "The suffering of formations themselves also," which is an extensive explanation. If happiness is like suffering because it is the cause of suffering, not because of impermanence, then it is meaningless to point out the suffering of formations themselves. The one who says it is the cause of suffering, if he says in detail "because of impermanence," if it is not the cause of suffering like suffering because of impermanence, then what is the difference between the forms of impermanence and suffering? There is.
