The term "severance" refers to the fact that in the first instant of arising, it arises together with the great elements that propel it. The term "included in the desire realm" is stated in order to sever the discipline of meditation and the uncontaminated. The supports of those great elements are simultaneous, like the mind. The phrase "those become the basis of this" means that, for example, the great elements that arise now are the support of other forms that are caused by them. Because they are the cause of entering and subsequently entering, they are stated in order. The past great elements are the cause of entering, so they become the basis, and the body is the cause, so it becomes the support. Regarding "pushing with the hand and the direction of the earth," pushing with the hand is the cause of entering, and the direction of the earth is the cause of subsequently entering. Having determined this, the determination is questioned, and it is explained in detail by asking where it is. The elements and the actions of body and speech are the fifth ground, and because there are no elements above the fourth dhyana, and because there are no actions of body and speech, it is said, "up to the ground of the meditator." The phrase "except for the three realms" indicates that for this, only birth is the definite cause, but not the nature itself, because the uncontaminated is non-associated. If that is the case, then do the uncontaminated elements arise only as a cause? Therefore, it is said, "because there are no uncontaminated elements." If that is the case, then would it become independent of the elements? Therefore, it is said, "because it arises by its power," the form that is caused does not arise without relying on the elements, and if it arises only by the power of the mind, then this would become the form that is caused. There are revealing forms and non-revealing forms, and that action also arises from that action, and for that, it is for the sake of specifying. Non-revealing forms are of two kinds: the ground of equipoise and the ground of non-equipoise. For that, all non-revealing forms are only, ungrasped, and so on in detail.

arises. Because it does not abide in a place, and because the mind and mental factors do not grasp it as an object of support, it is ungrasped. Because it is generated by a cause of equal parts of virtue and non-virtue, it arises from a concordant cause. Because it is virtuous and non-virtuous, it is not born from maturation, because the statement "maturation is not taught" would arise. It is also not born from increase, because there is no accumulation of subtle particles, and its arising depends on complete knowledge. It is also shown as a sentient being, because it is the characteristic of bodily and verbal actions, and because it belongs to the continuum of sentient beings. This is the distinction: the ground of non-absorption arises from the arising of what is grasped by concordance. It is not born from the arising of what arises from increase, belonging to the desire realm, not a moment of discernment. It will appear that "hereafter," and "that which is discernible to it, and that which is not discernible in its moment is the actual path of action," so its supporting great elements are momentary, and the great elements arising from increase constantly follow. It is also not born from the arising of what is not grasped, because its great elements are not different from the great elements of the body. What is born from samadhi is said to arise extensively from increase, etc. The arising of a concordant cause does not arise from the arising of what arises from increase, because there is no concordant cause other than what arises from increase. It arises only from the arising of what is not, not from the arising of what is grasped, because its arising is different from the senses, and depends on the mind. Those that are grasped arise without depending on the mind, because they can also enter without the mind in states such as cessation samadhi. The so-called arising from non-difference means that only those great elements are used as the cause, so that abstaining from killing arises, and only from those does abstaining from frivolous talk arise.
