From the pleasant feeling arising from dependence on the dharmas, to the arising of dependence on renunciation, similarly, unpleasant feelings and equanimity are also like being included. For those who individually discriminate about forms, etc., because the pleasant feeling with complete enjoyment as its precursor is virtuous and in accordance with detachment, therefore, dependence on renunciation arises. Because of being deceived by forms, etc., with proper attention, unpleasant feelings are in accordance with detachment, therefore, it depends on renunciation. Having individually examined objects such as forms, etc., and abiding in equanimity, neither changing into pleasant feelings nor changing into unpleasant feelings, this is called equanimity dependent on renunciation, because it is in accordance with detachment. Thus, pleasant feelings, unpleasant feelings, and equanimity also have power over purification, it should be understood, so they say. Because it is impossible to completely dominate all that has been said, the teacher shows displeasure. Others say that the word "is" is what the Sutra masters say. From consciousness, completely abandoning the grossness, because purification harms it, it is completely abandoned. The eyes and ears do not arise in the body, because the unpurified, although seeing and hearing, do not completely abandon. If it is not completely guarded in the body, then what do they dominate? Therefore, it is said that "the two dominate consciousness," the two are the eyes and ears. The word "is" means to grasp with certainty, only consciousness. Other than consciousness, seeing forms, etc., will be explained in detail, seeing forms and hearing sounds, when discriminating, it is not found to be different from grasping, and grasping is only consciousness, therefore it is not other.

Also, regarding the issue of whether relying solely on the basis is sufficient for beautifying meaning and word meaning, since it has been said before, it will not be repeated. Regarding the phrase "to observe one's own meaning and everything," it will be elaborated in detail. One's own meaning is one's own meaning, that is, the object of what something is. The observation of one's own meaning is to observe one's own meaning. The entity that can dominate is the one that can dominate. The observation of one's own meaning can dominate, which means being able to observe one's own meaning, that is, being able to dominate the observation of one's own meaning, therefore. What is it? These five are the senses. The word "everything" is connected to the phrase "observation can dominate." What is it? It is the mind. Regarding the phrase "For this, meanings also," if, like not being able to observe without the senses, similarly not being able to observe without meaning, then like the senses, can meaning also dominate this? Meaning is not what dominates. What dominates even more is what dominates, regarding this phrase, what dominates even more is what dominates, its entity is what dominates even more. Also, what is it that is not in meaning, the domination of the senses? Therefore, it is said, "Because the eye is the common cause for observing all forms." The eye is the common cause for the observation of all forms such as blue and yellow. The appearance of "those observations are clear and unclear," etc., is like this, observation follows the clarity and unclearness of the eye, etc., just as it is said in the Treasury of Elements. The word "etc." includes following the confusion and non-confusion of feeling. Regarding "Contrary to this, form is not," blue and other forms are the cause of observation that is determined separately, therefore, unlike the eye, it is not the common cause of observing all forms, nor does it follow the clarity and unclearness of observation. Therefore, form is not what dominates even more the observation of form. The same applies between the mind dominating phenomena, etc. Starting only from the body's sense, it will be elaborated in detail.
