It is to make the latter clear. Regarding the matter of "ruling over the differences and characteristics of sentient beings," although sentient beings are the same in terms of faculties such as eyes, the difference between male (Tibetan: ཕོའོ།) and female (Tibetan: མོའོ་) is caused by the roots of male and female. For example, the people of the first kalpa exist without distinction as sentient beings before the appearance of the two roots, but after the appearance of the two roots, they become male (Tibetan: ཕོའོ།) and female (Tibetan: མོའོ་) as such differences. Because before the appearance of the two roots, the shapes, sounds, and behaviors of the breasts, etc., of the people of the first kalpa were not different, and after the appearance of the roots, the shapes, sounds, and behaviors of the breasts, etc., were different, so these can also rule over the characteristics of sentient beings. Others say that it is to rule over all defilements and purifications. The so-called "like this" means "because." The so-called "not possessing" and "losing" means not possessing and losing those. Those who are separated from the roots of male and female are eunuchs, because they have no ability to give. Those who lose those are hermaphrodites, because they are lost due to harm. A person with two forms is one who has lost both, because the place is lost and it is the cause of small pleasure. All defilements are evil deeds and their cause, defilements, that is, there are no non-restraints, heinous crimes, and severed roots of virtue. Eunuchs and hermaphrodites do not sound good, and people other than those with two forms do not have non-restraints, etc. Eunuchs, etc., do not desire, men are enjoyed by women, and it will be explained to watch and enjoy. By this, it can make the afflictions and the actions caused by them manifest, so it is purification, that is, there are no restraints, attainment of fruition, and freedom from desire, etc. Because all defilements and purifications are only possessed by men and women, while eunuchs, hermaphrodites, and those with two forms do not have them, therefore, the roots of male and female are all defilements and

Has control over rebirth. The life faculty, here, in a way that connects similarly, refers to rebirth in the intermediate state or in the next life after the desire for death. Even in the formless realms, the life faculty can be found, because rebirth is certain. After that, it should be understood as it is, for example, all beings with afflictions and virtuous minds can be seen to die from the formless realms without falling, by the power of the life faculty. The mind faculty is also related to rebirth, because those with afflictions will be reborn again. The source for this is, as it is said in the sutra, when parents engage in intercourse, the one called "fragrance eater" arises, and at that time, a second thought arises. This shows that because there is no universally afflicted mind and no desire for birth, the mind faculty is able to control rebirth. Others think that the content of the "Kashyapa Sutra," such as "Ananda, if consciousness does not enter the mother's womb..." can be quoted. In order to conform to the nature of the faculty, through the control of the faculty, the mind faculty makes the body and speech coordinate. The basis for this is, as it is said in the sutra: "This world is led by the mind, completely led by the mind, everything is the dharma of the mind, and they operate harmoniously under the control of one." Here, the world refers to the five aggregates of appropriation, or rather, all supports that have the characteristics of the five aggregates of appropriation, or rather, the body with faculties, are controlled by the mind. Five and eight, for affliction and purification. Five and eight, these five have control over affliction, and the eight have control over purification, this is to show that the numbers are equal. Therefore, it is said in order. The reason why it is said that desire and so on will increase for them is because through a way that is similar to the object, desire and so on will

This is because it is the basis for increasing desire. As it is said, from the feeling of pleasure, desire increases; from suffering, hatred increases; from neither pleasure nor pain, ignorance increases. Faith and so on have power over purification, and the reason is mentioned because they act on purification. Because they purify, they have power over purification. To purify means to abandon. As it is said, the noble hearer has a perfect gate of faith, a perfect army of diligence, a perfect gatekeeper of mindfulness, and through the samadhi of the mind, he will be liberated by the sword of wisdom. Such things and so on have been said. These three are all included in these alone. Others say that pleasure and so on also act on purification, and through the word "also," it is understood that they also act on all afflictions. The mind becomes happy, and it will enter into samadhi. Through the samadhi of the mind, one can fully understand as it is, and so on. Thus, the faculty of pleasure also has power over purification. If faith is the cause of suffering, then that which has a cause is the cause of suffering. This shows that because faith is the cause of suffering, the faculty of suffering also has power over purification. Therefore, the sixfold dependence on renunciation arises. Renunciation refers to the path with outflows and without outflows. Dependence on renunciation means focusing on renunciation. For example, mental pleasure and so on, and the word "etc." includes displeasure and equanimity. Form and so on are the divisions of objects.
