If it is established in itself, then why create it? Because in any case, there is nothing like it in one realm. However, in order to be able to understand that everything is a combination of the two, it should be specially distinguished. Whoever does not do his own work is the same as it. This shows that whoever does his own work is dependent. So, which of them is which's function? In this regard, it is explained in detail what the eyes see the forms with, etc. For the eye that is the same as this, the views of the scholars differ, among which the Vaibhashikas say that there are four kinds. When extensively elaborating on "ceasing without seeing the forms," etc., the present eye is called cessation because it clearly tends towards cessation, because the action of impermanence itself exists. The future is called will cease because it has the nature of being born, just as it will inevitably be born, it will also cease. Whatever does not have the nature of being born, also does not arise due to lack of conditions, so it is very similar to this. According to the Westerners, there are five kinds, which are explained in detail. How so? Three are the same as before. The unborn dharma is associated with consciousness and not associated. Just like the present eye, some are associated with consciousness, and some are not, so is the unborn dharma. Only the mind unborn dharma is similar to this, because what has already been born will surely grasp the object. In this way, the arising of consciousness without an object does not exist, because consciousness arises dependent on the two. In "by the action of one's own sense," mentioning the action of one's own sense is to clarify the action of the co-equal cause, etc. It is explained in detail that "one's eye is dependent," etc., that is, the eye of Devadatta is dependent, and it is also the eye of all black things, etc. The things that are the same as this are also the same, that is, one's eye is the same as this.

That which I am is also that which is all, and it is the same in the middle of the mind. Why? Because it is uncommon, it is dependent on one continuum, and it is established as the same as it. Form is dependent on whoever sees it, and whoever does not see it is the same as it. Why? Because it is uncommon, by the power of one continuum, form is dependent and established as the same as it. From which form, one who sees, from that arises extensively. Because form is common, it has the power to generate many eye consciousnesses. Therefore, because it is established by the power of many continuums, whoever sees it is dependent, but not all. The god-given eye does not see anything else. The comparison is: just as form is, so is sound, and it is extensively stated. If sound is like that, it is because the opponent does not agree later. Smells and so on, whatever one grasps, others do not grasp. How? It is said that it is because of contact that it is grasped. Just like his eyes and so on, those are also uncommon. To this it is said: what are the smells and so on that generate consciousness in one's nose and so on? Sometimes, if a nearby cause approaches, those themselves are common, and when they arise in the realm of other noses and so on, it is possible for those to generate consciousness, that is there. Other eyes see others, that is never there, because it is uncommon. If the realm of dharma is also common, why is it not established as dependent and the same as it by the power of many continuums, just like form and so on? Form only sees what is happening now, not the past and future, nor the nature of the unborn, and it is the same in the middle of touch. Therefore, the dependence of form and so on, and the nature of being the same as it, is established from doing things by the power of many continuums. Dharma is called
