Because from there one enters into abandoning afflictions. Others say that it is called the basis because it produces, nourishes, and propagates. Here, the producer is the consciousness realm, because it is the seed for connecting the continuum. How is it? The four elements are included in the touch realm. The fifth is included in the form realm. The sixth is included in the seven consciousness realms. The self-characteristics of the eighteen realms and all phenomena being included by the aggregates, sources, and realms have already been explained. Now, in order to thoroughly differentiate the Dharma, one should contemplate the treatises that have been composed. Therein, in the realms, by distinguishing form and mind, it is shown that the aspects of defilements and so forth are easily understood, so one should contemplate only from the realms, and not from the aggregates and sources. Therefore, the saying "the eighteen realms that are shown" widely circulates. In "here is what is shown," the term "realm" should be connected to the context. Because it is not known what that is, therefore, the term "form" is mentioned. What is together with the showing is "what is shown." What is this "showing"? Because it shows "here, in such and such a place," it refers to the eye consciousness that arises from power. Because it is its object, form is called "together with it." Others say that the designation "here, in such and such a place" is the showing, and because something exists in it, it is "what can be shown," like having an object of focus. By refuting the nature of what can be shown as described above, the remainder will be called what cannot be shown. In "ten with obstruction, with form," the term "with form" is mentioned in order to distinguish what is not with form. Because the Dharma source has form that is non-manifesting, it can be designated as with form, therefore "ten" is mentioned. Therefore, in the explanation, it is also said in detail, "Which ten?" For those form

Because it is possible, it is a form. What is meant by "obstacle"? "Obstacle" means obstruction. Because it exists in those, it is with obstacle, like having wealth. There are three types of it, which is explained in detail, because the sound of obstacle applies to everything. Among them, the obstacle to obscuration is the obstruction that prevents others from arising in one's own realm. For example, the hand or the stone, the hand is obstructed and called an obstacle, meaning that in the realm of the hand, another hand will not arise. The stone also obstructs the hand, because it will not arise in its realm, so there is an obstacle to it. The stone also has an obstacle to those two, namely the hand and the stone, because it will not arise in their realm, so it is called an obstacle. The obstacle to the object is that the sense organs such as the eye are in their own realm, and the objects are encountered, to show this, it is quoted from the explained. From the explained treatise, the obstacle to water means that there is an obstacle to one's own realm, water, meaning that it encounters the realm of water, but not to dryness. Because some fishermen and others have an obstacle to water, it is said to be like most people. There are also obstacles to both, such as crocodiles killing children. There are also those that are neither, which is explained in detail, those who are certain to die in the womb, and those whose minds are distracted to other objects, and cessation, and entering into the state of non-perception, and the manifestation of non-perception, and the eyes of those born in the intermediate state of the world, are not obstructed by either. Which eye is obstructed at night, meaning entering the night. What is called a bat is a bird made of skin. Like most names, the reason for saying most is that some also enter at night, because they depend on karma and medicine. Like cats and so on, the sound of etc. includes tigers and so on. What is called neither is neither night nor day. Apart from those kinds. For those who are certain to die in the womb
