"Rich is pleasing" means it corresponds to the mind, and it is pleasing because it is satisfying. Thus, in terms of abandoning, it is bad, and in terms of satisfying, it is rich. "Far is the place that is not visible" is said in terms of the object of the support of the place. Although some are near, the place is mentioned because half of the subtle is not visible. Even if it is slightly near, it may become a place that is not visible due to the interruption, but because its support abides in that place, it can be seen, so the cause of kṛtya should be understood as the meaning of ability. In "Near is the place that is visible," the place that is visible is mentioned because stars and the like are somewhat far but visible. Also, for what reason did the venerable Vaibhāṣikas show far and near in a different way from the far and near they described? Therefore, it is said, "In order to show that the past and so on are shown by their own names," like this, saying a little distinction with one's own voice is not entering from the nature of other distinctions, but it is considered that it will become non-different. The near and far of those, etc., for feelings, etc., that rely on the place that is not visible are far, and those that rely on the place that is visible are near. Coarse and subtle themselves are the same as before, just as the Vaibhāṣikas say, the coarse is based on the five senses, and the subtle is born from the mind. Or it should be understood from the earth, as it is said. Also, for what reason are forms divided into eleven kinds? In order to show that they are the objects of the eleven kinds of existence. The eleven kinds of existence are: craving for viewing, craving for manifest joy, craving for excessive attachment, craving for one's own things, craving for places, craving for desire, craving for absorption, craving for wrong conduct, craving for good conduct, craving for far, craving for near. These should be understood as being aimed at the eleven kinds of form in the order as they are. The meaning of the door of arising of mind and mental events is the meaning of the source of birth.

Regarding the term "then," from where is it understood? It is understood from the definitive word. Therefore, in the definitive word, it is elaborated that it refers to the mind and mental factors. Birth refers to coming, the mind and mental factors arise and become my objects. Therefore, they are the cause of the mind and mental factors arising and increasing, so they are called sources of birth, which means to increase and expand. To become my objects and to continue to exist, that is its meaning. Regarding the statement "the meaning of kind is the meaning of realm," what should be understood? Because the kinds are similar. For example, some mountains are elaborated, just as the kinds of land such as gold are called realms. Similarly, the support is elaborated, which is the continuum of the body or mind and mental factors. Or, if one says a support, then it will only exist for a moment, therefore, the continuum is mentioned. There are eighteen kinds, there are eighteen seeds, so they are called the eighteen realms. Regarding the statement "because it is the cause of equal share," the previously produced eye faculty is the cause of equal share for the later produced eye faculty and the unproduced eye faculty, similarly, it should also be said for other faculties. If it is said that "the unconditioned will not become a realm," it is because there is no prior and later, and it is not the cause of equal share for anything. Then, because the unconditioned is the object and dominant condition of the mind and mental factors, it is also established as a source of birth. Even so, the meaning of source of birth and realm will become indistinguishable, because both are the source of birth of the mind and mental factors. Therefore, others say that the word realm is a word for kind, for example, kinds such as gold are different from each other, and so are the eyes and so on. In this way, because the kinds are similar, the word realm is a word for kind. Regarding the word "nature," nature is one's own object through the way of distinguishing other kinds, therefore for the conditioned and unconditioned.
