In order to explain that these sutras have profound meanings, the Blessed One spoke of "in the sutras" and so on. And for what reason? If there are others that do not belong to mental factors but are included in the aggregate of formation, then why is it only said that mind is the aggregate of formation? Therefore, it is said, "because it is the main one." In what way is it the main one? From the touch, attention, attainment, and other phenomena included in the aggregate of formation. If it is the main one from other phenomena, how does it become the main one? Therefore, it is said that it is the nature of karma. Corresponding to this, it is the main factor in the manifestation and creation among other phenomena. Manifestation and creation is rebirth, and because of its power, other phenomena also cause rebirth, so it is the main one. Others say that it is the main factor in manifestation and creation, like this, to become like this. Therefore, "because of that" means that because mind is the manifestation and creation. The Blessed One said, "conditioned manifestation and creation," if explained in detail, if it is conditioned itself, then how does it manifest and create? Some say that even if there is only a little, because it is the main factor in the projection of results, it can be placed in accordance with birth, so the body is the manifestation and creation, so it is said. Others say that, for example, grinding barley flour, grinding flour, just like that, with the nature of the five aggregates, conditioned phenomena can also be like this, become like this, so it is manifestation and creation. Or, in order to gather the formations that are not included in the four aggregates, just like the dharma realm and the realm, the term "formation" is used to indicate the aggregate of formation. If it is not like this, like the aggregates of feeling and so on, it would be called the aggregate of mind. If it is not like that, if only mind is the aggregate of formation, and touch, attention, etc., and hearing, etc., are not, then those are form, feeling, and

Because they are not included in the aggregates of perception, formation, and consciousness, they will not become the truths of suffering and its origin, just like unconditioned things. These cannot be included in the form aggregate, because there is no existence as form. Likewise, they cannot be included in the aggregates of feeling, etc., because they do not have the characteristics of experiencing, etc. So, what will they become? They will also not become objects of complete understanding and abandonment. Complete understanding and abandonment, that is, they will not become complete understanding of suffering and abandonment of the origin. If there is no complete understanding and abandonment, what fault will there be? Therefore, the Blessed One extensively spoke of "not knowing." "Not knowing" means through the path of seeing. "Not completely knowing" means through the path of meditation. Or, "not knowing" means worldly knowledge. "Not completely knowing" means knowledge that transcends the world, that is, uncontaminated knowledge, because it is said that uncontaminated knowledge is complete understanding. Or, it should be understood that, in order, through the Dharma and subsequent knowledge, or through forbearance and knowledge. Similarly, "not abandoned" means that if I have not known and abandoned even one Dharma, I will not say that I have reached the end of suffering. That is, not completely understanding through knowing suffering, and not abandoning through knowing the origin. What is said is the very fact that is immediately shown. Therefore, without a doubt, contact, attention, etc., and attainment, etc., should be acknowledged as being included in the aggregate of formation. If this is not the case, then the appearance of the Buddha and the teaching of the Dharma will become meaningless. "That" is to distinguish the aggregate of consciousness. "Three" is to clarify the aggregate of form. Dharmas not included in the eleven ayatanas and seventeen dhatus are included in the dharma-ayatanas and dharma-dhatus. Therefore, it is said, "Non-revealing form and, non-compounded are." The distinction of the ayatanas is the completeness of the dharma-ayatanas.
