Because they are not the same as jealousy and so on, they are called solitary, that is, jealousy, stinginess, regret, anger, and resentment, these five are called solitary. It is said in the scriptures that afflictions can connect the continuum. At that time, for the Gandharva, either of the two minds will manifest, that is, subsequently possessing desire or possessing hatred. Self-masters, because they are not the same as afflictions such as desire, therefore prevent their connection of continuum. Because they are the same as afflictions such as desire, non-self-masters do not prevent the connection of continuum. If that state is not attachment, then how can wrong views and so on arise there? Therefore, it is extensively explained in the scriptures that although that state is weak, because the mind and mental factors are not distracted, therefore in that state there is attachment. Others say that there is only neutral feeling there, therefore it is called weak. Someone repeatedly towards something, means constantly entering. Close, is close to death, connected with "practice". At that time, it refers to the state of existence of birth. That affliction itself, refers to which affliction is repeatedly closely practiced. Because of previous throwing, means because of previous habituation, so at that time only that kind of affliction closely abides. Or, at that time which affliction closely abides, that affliction was previously closely grasped and thrown as the nature of the fruit, that is, thrown, so at that time it closely abides. It is the same when the intermediate state connects the continuum, meaning it is also like connecting the continuum of existence. The three formless realms, refers to there are only three in the formless realm, but not three in the form realm, because the karma corresponding to the formless realm does not have the fruit of the intermediate existence. Why is there no intermediate existence? Therefore, it is said that the formless realm. Sentient beings abide by food. It is said like this.

Furthermore, what are the foods, and what kind are they? The sutra says that there are four kinds of food: coarse and fine morsel food, contact food as the second, volitional thought food as the third, and consciousness food as the fourth. Morsel food has two aspects. So, what does the fine refer to? The fine refers to the intermediate state beings, and so on. It also applies to humans in the first kalpa, because there is no common cause, no urine or feces. Or it refers to the subtle, because it is subtle. The food of subtle beings is subtle. An infant is newly born, between eating milk and butter. And so on, the word 'etc.' includes those in the womb. After these are completely cut off, what remains is coarse. Furthermore, do all of these exist in all realms? Therefore, it is said, 'Morsel food is in the desire realm.' Morsel food exists only in the desire realm, but it is not only morsel food. Because one is free from desire for morsel food, one will not be born in the form or formless realms. Being free from desire, as long as one has not been born there, one remains in the abode of food. Therefore, it is said, in order to be born there. There, the body exists, not depending on external causes. This is also the nature of the three sense fields (referring to smell, taste, and touch), because it is the nature of the three sense fields, it is the nature of the sense fields of smell, taste, and touch. Because it is made into a mouthful and swallowed, it is only morsel food. The sense fields of smell, taste, and touch in the desire realm are cut into mouthfuls with the nose and tongue and swallowed, so it is called morsel food. If one doubts whether shadows and so on are also swallowed in mouthfuls, then the question is: how can the smell, taste, and touch that exist in shadows, the sun, fire, and light be food? This refers to the majority; in the vast desire realm, the smell, taste, and touch that are used mostly exist in places where they are not cut into mouthfuls.

Although remembered, those small amounts of food, just like bathing and body massage, are not contradictory because they are of the same kind and do not go beyond food itself. The form aggregate is not, because the form aggregate is not beneficial to one's own sense faculty, and it is not beneficial to liberation. The so-called form aggregate is at the time of swallowing, which means at the time of swallowing, when food is put into the mouth, chewed, moistened with saliva, and exceeds swallowing, the nose, tongue, and body faculties, or they grasp odors, etc., just as they help their great causes and conditions, the form aggregate is not at the time of swallowing. The form aggregate is one's own sense faculty, if it does not help the eye faculty, or its great causes and conditions, that is, the great causes and conditions of the faculty, then needless to say, it will help other faculties such as the ear. The so-called not being an object means that it is not the object of the ear, etc. If the form aggregate is not grasped by the eye at the time of swallowing, and therefore does not help the eye faculty, then will it help when seeing at the time of food? Therefore, it is explained in detail when seeing. The object of this is the form that is being seen. And at that time, targeting that object, the touch that will experience pleasure is food, not form, how is this to be understood? Therefore, it is explained in detail that the liberated, the non-returner, and the Arhat, saying the non-returner is because they are also free from desire because of the desirer. How can the seen form, in doing the function of food, like the smell, taste, and touch when swallowing, also act on the non-returners and Arhats? It is said like this, a mouthful of food in the hand or in a container does not do the function of food, but when it is put into the mouth, chewed, moistened with saliva, exceeds swallowing, and the stomach is full, it is explained in detail that at that time it will change for the sake of the food itself, because it is said like that, the food's
