Or, there are two kinds of states with mind: the state of being with a distracted mind and the state of being with an undistracted mind. Among them, the state of being with a distracted mind is shown directly, while the state of being with an undistracted mind is expressed by the word of name. If so, then the phrase "with mind and without mind" will also show three states. What is called "subsequent connection" refers to continuity. If it is said that because the first moment has no subsequent connection, there is no non-manifesting form, then the first moment also relies on the later moment for subsequent connection. If it is said that non-manifesting form is characterized by subsequent connection, and subsequent connection is also continuous, therefore it will become an imputed existence, then when non-manifesting form is characterized by form, it is continuous, it is continuous, and there are also continuous things, but there is not only continuity there. If so, why is it said "subsequent connection"? This is to know that the elements that propel manifesting form, even if they cease, follow until they are not abandoned. In "the continuity of attainment," etc., because the things attained are non-associated, they are not caused by the great elements. What is called "caused by the great elements" is like fire arising from firewood as a cause. The great elements are the cause, that is, the reason is the cause, and it should be understood as being done in this way. Therefore, it is said that "the meaning of being caused is the meaning of cause." If asked, how are the great elements the cause of this? Therefore, it is said, "Because it is the nature of the cause of production, etc." The meaning is that it is the nature of the cause of production, reliance, existence, dependence, and growth. That is non-manifesting form, referring to that continuous one. What is called non-manifesting form, non-manifesting form is not merely the negation of manifesting form, nor is it something slightly different from manifesting form, but like the order, it is not a substantially existent thing.

And, vases and so on will also become non-manifesting form, because of this reason. So what is it? Because it is the nature of form and action, it is another form similar to manifesting form. The mind and mental factors that can cause themselves are not manifesting form, so they are non-manifesting form, just like saying "non-Brahmin" by negating similarities. Although it is said to be the nature of form and action, saying "form" is to distinguish it from mental factors. Saying "action" is to distinguish it from the eye and so on. Therefore, through the word "then," this can be understood. Saying "it is the word of the teacher" is to imply that this is not the Buddha's teaching. Or, from where is it said? From the sutra, because "the three kinds of immaculate form are spoken, growth and unconditioned path, etc.," it will be explained in this way. In short, manifesting form and arising from samadhi will be explained in detail. If good and non-good are not said to it, then for those arising from manifesting form and samadhi, born from fruition and born from growth, etc., there will also be faults. If manifesting form and arising from samadhi are not said, then for the form of manifesting form, it will also become form, therefore both are said. Now, arising from manifesting form is good and non-good, having the nature of discipline and non-discipline. Arising from samadhi is only good, that is, having the nature of non-manifesting form, meditation, and unpolluted discipline. Here it is said, drawn by the power of manifesting form, etc., connected with good and non-good, the Bhikshu with action form is not defiled by manifesting form. The elements are earth element, etc. For these, saying "element" at the beginning and end is so that it can be understood in the middle as well. Saying "element" is to exclude earth, etc., which have the nature of color and shape, otherwise, there will also be faults for those. Earth itself is an element, that is, the earth element, and it should be said that way for the rest as well. One's own.

They are called "elements" because they possess characteristics and are the cause of form. This is a definitive way of saying it. Their own characteristics are hardness, wetness, and so on. Form that is the cause refers to all forms other than the four great elements. The others are the source of all forms, therefore they are the source. The four great elements are also the source of the four great elements themselves, because they are the cause with equal potential. In the world, the source is called "element," just like the source of copper. The meaning of "four great elements" is: How are these "great," "arising," and "four"? Because they are the basis of all other forms, they are "great." That is, they are the basis of forms other than the four great elements, because they are measurable. This is the meaning of "great." Furthermore, for wheat and water, etc., those aggregates that have the main function are those that have the main function. Function refers to holding, etc. The main function is that after the nature expands, they become obvious. The aggregates of earth, etc., are the nature of color and shape. To abide in "greatness" is to abide in a vast state. Because all parts of form, etc., have hardness, etc., they are "great." In the realm of form, there is no smell or taste. Colors such as blue are in it, and for those aggregates, there is no mutual exclusion between them. Similarly, hardness, etc., do not exist anywhere. Therefore, for the time being, they are "great." "Arising" means that because they appear in their own way, various forms are realized, so they are "arising." Or, because they have never been created or experienced by the karma of all sentient beings from beginningless samsara, they are "arising." Or, "arising" means that they expand the essence of the substance that arises, therefore they are "arising," meaning that they increase the existence of matter and the life of sentient beings. Furthermore, why are there only four great elements, and not space like the non-Buddhists?
