it will also become a fault. If that is the case, then there is no clarity. If that is the case, it will become nothing at all, which is also unreasonable, because the arising of dependent things has been pointed out, because the things such as universal combination have been pointed out. Just like "What is this?" Ignorance is not understanding, and it also shows that unclearness is also the same. Since it is not established, it is also not possible to understand the unestablished by the unestablished. The scriptures say, "The dharmas are also indicated in this way," which appears extensively, and that kind of thing refers to that kind of category and that kind of form. The dharmas are indicated, not only the distinction in nature, but also the distinction in karma. Here, ignorance is indicated by the karma that is incompatible with wisdom, therefore, whatever is incompatible with wisdom exists. To illustrate this point, an example is given: "For example," and so on. There, karma is the basis of eye consciousness, therefore, eye consciousness is determined, but not through its own nature. If it is said, is it not only the pure form that is regarded as the basis of eye consciousness as a distinction in nature? Pure form cannot be determined by itself, therefore it is said to be the basis of eye consciousness. The venerable Dharmatrāta said, "Beings enter thinking 'I'" and so on. Because it enters all sentient beings, it is entering, meaning "to go." Its thing is entering itself, which is uncertain. Just like the venerable, its expression is without distinguishing the object. The phrase "thinking 'I'" also completely includes the attachment to self, which is also the action of the conceit of "thinking 'I'," therefore the question is, what enters other than the conceit of "thinking 'I'"? Since the scriptures say that it is different from the increase and decrease of attachment to the conceit of "thinking 'I'," it can be understood that the conceit of "thinking 'I'" itself is not entering. "All craving" and so on appear, because the scriptures say that it is different from all forms of desire and so on, therefore the afflictions of desire and so on

It is not otherwise, because ignorance is not spoken of, so it should be known that ignorance is spoken of with the word of entering. If it is asked whether there are other forms of pride, in this sutra, only the pride of "I am" is spoken of with its own words. Since it is not another form of pride, the word of entering will show other forms of pride other than the pride of "I am." Like "If analyzed here," etc. If the branches of ignorance are analyzed in detail, this treatise will become extensive, so it is placed here. If analyzed further, the expression with the words of answering and re-answering will increase, so detailed analysis is sufficient. Also, if asked, "What is the meaning of 'name' and 'form'?" If it is said that because of ignorance, there are formations, so formations should be shown after ignorance, and after that, should the branch of consciousness be shown? Why are name and form placed there? Because "mind is the action of the mind, from which the actions of body and speech arise," etc., is explained from the place of the storehouse of formations, and consciousness has already been spoken of there as "consciousness is the individual discernment." Because it has already been spoken of, others will be spoken of. Form has already been extensively spoken of, form is the five faculties and the five objects, and non-discrimination. Like that, it has already been extensively spoken of. Name is the formless aggregates. If it is asked, what is the reason for establishing the word? That is, why are the four formless aggregates called name? In order to show the reason for establishing the word, it is explained in detail because of name, faculty, and object. Because of the three, name, faculty, and object, there is attachment to things like form, so it is name, meaning that it is spoken of depending on the attachment to the object. Among them, because of name, it is for manifest and non-manifest forms, etc. Because of faculty and object, it is attachment to manifest things. What is called name refers to the nature of the four aggregates spoken of in the scriptures, or the name that has the nature of a designation.
