It will happen to say, "It is rotten." What is a word of downfall? Therefore, Aryadeva did not speak well. A child refers to dependent arising, which refers to vast arising. The term "child" refers to not seeing the truth. The word "mere action" indicates that there is no agent, no self, etc. here. The term "not knowing" indicates unmingled ignorance. "Clinging to the view of self and the pride of 'I am'" means abiding in the view of self and the pride of 'I am.' This indicates ignorance that corresponds to the view of self and the pride of 'I am.' "The three actions of the body, etc." means that they will occur. "Self" refers to where one thinks these are understood, and what one is conceited about. Is it for happiness? Or for the meaning of neither happiness nor suffering, etc. "The three of body, etc." refers to the three actions of body, speech, and mind, namely, creating merit, non-merit, and the nature of immovability. "For the sake of happiness in the next life" means for the sake of happiness in another world. "Merit" refers to virtue practiced in desire, such as engaging in generosity and discipline, etc., desiring happiness in the next world. This is shown in most respects. Due to the long duration of wrong conceptualizations, due to the connection with wisdom losing its object, and due to the great collection of cataracts of great ignorance impairing the eye of the mind, some who are deluded by wrong views also create non-merit such as offerings for the sake of happiness in the next life. "Immovable for the sake of happiness and the meaning of neither happiness nor suffering" refers to practicing in the form and formless realms, up to the third dhyana, for the sake of happiness in the next life, and before that, for the meaning of neither happiness nor suffering. In connection with "creating non-merit for the sake of happiness in this life," that is, through the body, creating killing, etc., and speech.

In terms of speech, there are falsehoods, etc.; in terms of mind, there are greed, etc. The so-called "force of karma" refers to what is propelled by the karma as previously stated. The so-called "by its force" means by its cause, by that cause, the continuum of consciousness is connected with the intermediate state, and even if it is very far away, it will go to that destination. If it is said that the intermediate state also possesses the six consciousnesses, then if asked what is consciousness, the answer that it is the collection of the six consciousnesses is reasonable. How to understand it? If the continuum of consciousness is completely controlled by karma, from the moment of connection in the intermediate state until the moment of birth, it is consciousness conditioned by action, then it is reasonable to say that consciousness is the collection of the six consciousnesses. Otherwise, it is not. If it is said that only the connecting consciousness is conditioned by action, then this contradicts the classification of consciousness as the collection of the six consciousnesses, because at that time only mind-consciousness exists, only mind-consciousness connects, and others do not exist. Therefore, if it is said: What is consciousness? It is mind-consciousness. Then it would be said like that, and not that consciousness is the collection of the six consciousnesses. Name and form, the five aggregates, will be reborn in that destination. Here, name and form should be understood as the limbs before death, not as the Sarvastivadins say, that name and form from then on, until the arising of the six sense bases.

Whatever form it may be, all that is caused by the four great elements and the four great elements, all of that, this form and the previous name, are included in the category of name and form, it is said. The complete maturation of name and form means that with the nature of softness, wetness, length, hardness, etc., the senses are generated in a very, very close order. Desire-craving is the craving that acts in desire. For what is neither pleasure nor pain, it is called form-craving. In the third dhyana, for the feeling of pleasure, form-craving acts in form. In the fourth dhyana, for what is neither pleasure nor pain, it is form-craving. In the formless realm, because there is no other feeling, for what is neither pleasure nor pain, it is formless craving, and everything should be connected with being tormented by suffering. Taking desire and so on, means taking desire, views, discipline, asceticism, and self-assertion. Among them, desire refers to the five objects of desire, namely form, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Because they are desired and sought after, they are desires, and because they are purified by pervasive desire, they are virtues, meaning habit. Asceticism itself refers to the asceticism of dogs and cows, etc., and the word 'etc.' includes the asceticism of deer, etc. As for the naked ones, etc., this is also asceticism. The asceticism of Brahmins is the correct taking of a staff and a mat. The asceticism of the herdsman is the hair knot and ashes. The asceticism of the wanderer is the correct taking of a three-pronged staff and nakedness. The word 'etc.' includes those with skulls, etc., including skull vessels, braziers, etc. Self-assertion refers to the body, because it is called 'I', therefore there is self-assertion, therefore it is called self-assertion, it is said, by the Blessed One.
