It is not reasonable in its nature. The five who do not return, this is explained from the treasury of the path and the individual. Some say that there are gods called "intermediate state," and whoever attains nirvana in them attains nirvana in the intermediate state. If so, the term "born" and so on is also explained in detail, and whoever attains nirvana in the gods of birth will be born and attain nirvana. Nirvana without effort and nirvana with effort should also be spoken of in the same way. It is not so, because if the gods of birth and so on are not accepted, then nirvana in the intermediate state is not established. Others say that nirvana between the desire realm and the form realm is nirvana in the intermediate state. Therefore, since there are no sentient beings who have not been born in the two realms without an intermediate existence, the intermediate existence is established. In the "Going Sutra," the sutra says: "Monks, I will show the seven paths of the noble person and the nirvana without grasping." Thus, the sutra of the paths of the noble person is explained in detail. In that sutra, among the five who do not return, those who attain nirvana in the intermediate state are made into three types through the three metaphors of dawn and so on, and are said to be the seven paths of the noble person. The distinction of the difference between time and place means the distinction of the difference of time and the distinction of the difference of place in order. How is it? "Manifestly accomplished" is time. "Like ascending to the sky" and "like falling to the ground" are places. The gods of the intermediate state are explained in detail. "Between the measure of life" or means before the measure of life, that is, only in the sense of not completing life. "Between the gods and the near" means that the side of the gods is near to the gods, and the interval between them is between the gods and the near. In this explanation, how are the three metaphors of hot iron and so on suitable?

Therefore, the "stage of nature" has been extensively explained. Merely through birth, the stage of the seeds of affliction manifests, thereby completely liberating from suffering, which is considered to be a person of sharp faculties. The so-called "stage of consciousness" refers to the stage in which consciousness of objects is universally operative. Some say that whatever completely cuts off the arising of afflictions is the stage of consciousness, which is of medium faculties. The so-called "stage of conceptualization" refers to the stage in which the conceptualization of afflictions on that ground is universally operative. Others say that conceptualization is deliberation, therefore it is the stage in which wisdom is universally operative. Here, conceptualization is not considered to be a coarse mind, because it belongs to the category of the first dhyana, therefore it will not transform into intermediate liberation in the second dhyana and so on. This is of dull faculties. Alternatively, the first is a detailed description of the form realm, of which the example is like "a small fire in the morning" and so on. The second is about the wealth of the gods, of which the example is like "sparks of iron rising into the sky" and so on. The third is about the gods' correct practice of Dharma, of which the example is like "sparks of iron rising from the sky" and so on. Thus, through three examples, there are three situations. Even so, since there is no difference from intermediate liberation and complete liberation from suffering after birth, in order to show the difference, "complete liberation from suffering after birth" has been extensively explained. The so-called "destroying most of life" refers to destroying most of life. All of these do not correspond to the examples of morning and so on. Why? Because there is no difference of going elsewhere. Because there is no difference of going elsewhere. Because for them, there is no difference of going elsewhere, because they completely liberate from suffering in the same place. The three examples spoken of in the sutra have the difference of going elsewhere. Alternatively, there is no difference of objects
